First time I used it, just went WTF. Second time, just went bleh. Third time, had a dummy near it. Understood what it does. I'm sure it took time to code and whatever. But honestly I really did not enjoy this. Was just kind of bad in my opinion. But that's my opinion, so whatever.

I have no idea what this is. What do they do? I managed to hit someone near with them but nothing happened.. Explain.

Personally, I think it takes a while for the soldiers to "burst", but my real complaint, is that the almost random lack of control causes problems. Mostly soldiers flying off the top of the screen problem. Also a description would be nice, but letting us figure out what it did at first was kind of a bonus. Otherwise, excellent job with spriting and coding! This really is an offer you shouldn't miss out on! 7/10

Edit: The burst reminded me of the bloating gas bomb, and the gasooka, which are both undeniably awesome. Some polishing makes shoes shine.

The sprites are all ripped from Metal Slug, actually. Also, Dauss uploaded a new version that makes each generation two times faster than the last one.

Would there be a possible release that includes an infection gun version of this?

I downloaded it due to the comments. I was slightly entertained at my soldier blowing up into what looked like dandelions, but I don't understand if it's a reference to something or if it's supposed to harm other actors.

If nobody gets the reference, it's probably not a reference.

If it doesn't hurt actors, it doesn't hurt actors.

If it isn't a reference, it is probably original.

If it doesn't hurt actors, it is probably just for fun.

If it is original, and it is fun, then Dauss did a good job.

I would love to have this made into a gun.
Especially since the spores rarely land on an actor.

Heads up, new items in the original post. Should help you get some more enjoyment out of this one.

The only problem I have with this mod is the fact that the plants stay... and it gets laggy really quickly

(Btw, Las Plagas anyone?!)

The plants shouldn't make any lag after they settle, and they are pretty weak terrain wise. If you mean it gets laggy when it spreads, that shouldn't last very long either. If anything I get 2-3 seconds of lag, then regular speed.

sometimes I gotta force them to turn into terrain(I'm assuming that's what you mean by "settle(ing)") otherwise they just sit mid-air in clusters waiting for someone to bump into them so they would fall down...
