I made this little mod for Hydro Plus mod I co-developed with Akblabla.
It features the first and only so far underwater actor and weapons specialized for it.
Behold, as I present you the:


The Aquanauts!

These superior scuba troopers are the latest innovation of amphibious soldiers.
They come pre-equipped with a wide range of armaments specialized for underwater use and the unit itself has special movement abilities when diving in the water that allow it to out-maneuver anyone or anything else using their advanced diving equipment.

The special controls might need some getting used to as you will be pressing multiple buttons at once to perform certain moves, so this mod is a bit tricky at first, but very fun regardless. Make sure you read the .txt file included within the mod for further tips and tricks to get he best out of this mod.

These are pretty fun, would been cool if you made a submarine for them too, with grabbalicious arms and underwater mine deployers and the whole deal.

As long as they aren't getting the bends from a certain scene...

Good heavens I love these guys. A+, Nummy. Rip and Tear is immensely fun, and the propulsion device makes them look like real people swimming. Plus, they have that spec ops look of the scuba troops from MW2, which looks real great.

I tried it out, Numgun, and as always, your mod is refined, polised, and otherwise beautiful. However, are you are there is no way to simplify the controls? I got used to them easily, but I'm not sure many people will.

Damnit they can't swim in my lava. They die in matter of seconds D: They are beautiful and awesome to use. Though i found some bugs.

1. you can't super dive while using mouse

2. if you place some water and then plays another skirmish without quitting the game in between and you don't place any water at all you can make all the underwater ninja things above water (i will send you a fix for that).

It also appears that I can manually fly torpedoes out of the water and fly them around, the effects for the trail however stop. I also noticed that sometimes crossing the map barrier when the X loop occurs with a torpedo causes the sky background to scroll by very quickly.

Your spriting has improved. Might want to look into not pillow-shading the torpedos though, just have a few sprites with different lighting and change them based on the RotAngle. Also maybe they should trail bubbles rather than fire :P combustive propulsion underwater tends to leave massive trails.

Well seeing how I can't use the grappling device as proven on the original grappling thread, I think the harpoon should at least do damage while also sticking.

Also, are vehicles coming too?
