A plant created in a lab, the Creeper Vine was designed to be a barbed wire replacement. It can grow indefinitely, produce explosive, thorny pods, and the growing vines can attack objects. It will often grow bunched up, creating a barrier impassable to soldiers without digging tools or other destructive devices. It will also attack close-by objects and organisms. The Creeper Vine is deployed with a throwable, green case that releases the seed after a short period of time. There are 6 variations of the vine, each in a different case: Creeper Seed Case - The vine will grow for 60 seconds, will produce pod mines, and will attack objects. Creeper Seed Case S - The "safe" verison of the vine, will grow for 60 seconds and does not produce pod mines and does not attack objects. Creeper Seed Case SX - Same as the "S" vine, but grows forever. Creeper Seed Case A - This vine will grow for 60 seconds and only attacks objects; it doesn't produce pod mines. Creeper Seed Case AX - Same as the "A" vine, but grows forever. Creeper Seed Case X - The most dangerous vine variant; it will produce pod mines, attack objects, and has never-ending growth Also included is a tool called the "Creeper Vine Growth Inhibitor". When used, the tool will send out a radiation pulse that stops the growth of all vines within a 200 pixel range.

This is coolawesome... BTW, the pods, do they explode on gibbing? And is this tiberium-resistant? *imagines tiberium and creeper vines in one game* hmmmm tasty lag. |

Any way to make a vine that actively grows towards actors? |

It's cool but you could make it grow with plant sprites. |

Just threw one of these in the zombie cave. It filled the whole damn cave and killed all the zombies. Getting the chip was a bit difficult thought. A truly amazing mod, absolutely NO LAG, very effective and fun to play with. I could see this being a part of some sort of organic faction as a main power combined with acid, poison, toxins and such. Its also extremely fun tossing these on the field in the middle of a match and watch as the whole battlefield deforms into something else. |

I wonder how they react towards tiberium? |

Now it looks like that people in the forums are all interested in minerals, growing painful minerals and other stuff that grows, like plants and everything. |

Well the idea has been around for quite some time. I've heard a few who wanna do similar stuff. But the mods were never realized until now. |

It would be amazing to see some kind of ecosystem mod come from this. Like plants growing, pollenating, seeding and then spreading. Downloading it now. |

Downloaded, and it works great, aside from a few things: It often is less "creepery", and more "lets fling a single tendril way into the sky". Sometimes I get a bug, resulting in CC completely freezing up. No error, just freezing. Got it upon walking into the mass/terrainy bits (not a growing tendril) before, further testing now. |

Will look into. matty406 wrote: It would be amazing to see some kind of ecosystem mod come from this. Like plants growing, pollenating, seeding and then spreading. It originally would create branching vines, but it would get horribly out of control and lag. CCnewplayer wrote: It's cool but you could make it grow with plant sprites. I could, but the scripting could get really complicated. Collective wrote: Any way to make a vine that actively grows towards actors? Working on that right now. carriontrooper wrote: This is coolawesome... BTW, the pods, do they explode on gibbing? And is this tiberium-resistant? The pods "explode" when the vine that they're on is destroyed/disturbed. This should also be tiberium-proof, and may acually destroy tiberium. |

The X and AX, I believe... And, trying the S, even that causes it. |

What OS do you have? Also, when you see the vines, press Ctrl + M to bring up terrain view. What color do the vines appear as? |

I had it freeze as well with the regular seed case. On another happier note it does indeed destroy tiberium or at least the tiberium I dropped on it. (I have Vista by the way) Edit: It shows up as teal/cyan by the way. with ctrl-M |

Whilst it's loading up: The vines I have problems with are completely solid. And I'm on Windows Vista 32. And they appear Cyan in Ctrl+M. Also, what are the pod bombs meant to look like? I dunno if they are spawning... |
