Hey guys its RTL 247

I'll be posting my view of space marines and they do look pretty tanky.
The features in my mod are as the following:
-New actors
- Techmarine
- Devestator heavy bolter marine
- 3 more marine varients (Changes the helmet) NOTE: I changed varients 3 and 4!
- Space Marine commander
- New weapons
- Master crafted weaponry; bolter, bolt pistol, plasma rifle, plasma pistol
- Flamer
- Missile Launcher
- Hand Grenade (Can't seem to get numgun's permission on his so mine is pretty weak but still)
- New gear
- Storm shields in EXTRA Large as well.

I have also changed most of the weapon's fire rate so it isn't ridiculously unffair, the fire rate is moderate, but it still easy to work with.

ULTRAMARINES
Yeah, well, just made an ultramarines varient but WARNING! this will overwrite your original rsm.rte folder, please - stick the original in a seperate one until i am bothered to fix this minor issue!

I'm sure that you aren't the first to post space marines, but this is probably the most polished version i've seen.

Edit:

I'm glad to say that I absolutely loved the mod.
The Space Marines looked very nice, and the weapons fit my destructive desires.
Thank you very much for this mod.

But one problem with this mod that i've seen with others as well, is that the actors, weapons, crafts, and extras were all in separate catalogs in the shop. It's not a very big issue, but it bugs me having a few extra catalogs that don't do anything spamming my shop menu.

Tested and here is what I have

1. I feel like the storm shield could have more strength since it go destroyed after 1 clip from the vanilla smg
2. The marine itself is very well done but I also think that perhaps the hardness of the armor could be much more significant, such as ricocheting most of the vanilla weapons except perhaps the snipers and rocket launchers and what not since if you read the codex's, the armor is supposed to be super strong. But I don't, know, I just don't like having my marine's beautiful face being mutilated with the armor wounds :)
3. Maybe this because I'm used to the original Space Marines, but the clips seem to be smaller in size. I guess I'm just used to a 50 clip/500 clip bolter/heavy bolter
4. You do have other chapters right?

So I just found out that the armor has layers!!

Some guy chainsawed my guys legs and he lost 10 pounds!! GENIUS!!!

Also love the Master-Crafted set for the bolter, looks absolutly beautiful!!!! And thanks for making a brain unit!! ONE MAN STAND!!!!!

Now all you need are some other races...

Ah, I see you discovered how I've made the beefy men, I did this because it is:
1. You can aim at their weak points then (suppose they do)
2. It is convinient for me to make more armor varients without having to start from scratch.
3. Yeah you can figure the rest.
4. Yes, I've made ultramarines

Its good to know people enjoy this by the way.

So you will be releasing the Ultramarines and the other factions right?

Also, would it be considered annoying if I complained that I just got 1 hit KOed by a bullet and that the marines needs to be much more stronger? Just whenever you have any down time, it would be nice to have the armor more bullets resistant.

As for the armor resistence, I'm not great at coding and typing jibba jabba.
But I do agree so I will experiment with the problem and hopefully resolve it.

I just got an idea so hear me out, how about I use the defensive armor value of the storm shield (obviously decreasing it) for the armor plating?

Well, until you get that coding in, some other comparisons that I think the Space Marines should be equal to at least.

The greatest of all factions obviously is DSTech. Their armor strength is just so ridiculous. Only if you get a lucky shot on their head or neck or drop something really heavy on them, do they die. Perhaps you could try that strength or a tad bit weaker. Just copy and paste the strength value. Also, the joint strengths could be upped a bit too.

EDIT: Hmm you could try that. I think it would work, just make sure to remember make the shield less breakable.

Nice job, your getting there!

Its not totally reflecting the weak bullets but does to some.

Also, your not going to be doing vehicles anytime soon are you?


EDIT: Oops, Dled the wrong file! give me a sec...

EDIT2: Ok so its a bit stronger but I think it needs to be much stronger. Unless your going for your own interpretation of the codex and CC, I think the ceramic plating needs to be around the level of these guys http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=14523 or even better, DSTech

So a couple bugs is that the bolters/heavy bolters/etc will damage my actor randomly.

It USES Ivan 21's marines and the point of it is the increased armor given to the marines if you compare it with ivan's and my own.
