Gunship (B23 only)
The B24 version can be found here. Creditsnumgun: Gunship sprite, ideas, suggestions and general problem solver. Lizard: Mortar sprite. Roon3: Drop pod sprite (kind of). MaximDude: The rotating thing inside the enemy base. Samohan25: Ideas, suggestions and play testing. TheLastBanana and weegee: Difficulty levels in scenes. Haha, i haven't been able to backflip yet but this thing is really fun to fly. The mission is epic as hell, I literally tried to hold out for as long as I could before backup. About half a minute.
edit: I'm pretty sure hard is impossible, I'd almost rather the MG to be joystick/mouse controlled

YES! the Abdul Alhazred strikes again! i love this. i got the hang of it right away and couldent even beat easy mode. well, i love the anti-air and anti-infiltry guns too, the ship is a thing of asomeness, i love this and anyone thinking about getting this, DO IT NOW!

At first the hardness (on "easy"!) was fun. Then it started pissing me off. Great job on all of it, very well put together, except the fact that it's way too ♥♥♥♥ hard.

Amazing work, amazing fun. I love loading this thing with bombs for when it finally goes down in skirmish mode.
Quick question though, say if I wanted to give it more ammo for skirmish mode, where might I do that in the code?

The ship is awesome, but the mission is excruciating. You should call your easy difficulty normal. It took me at least an hour to beat on easy, after absurd amounts of "barely pops my head off" events for my individual controlled rushing soldiers. Are the gun ships supposed to stop coming and just leave you with the regular troops if you get to a particular point and then break too many ships?
Like I said, the ship is awesome, the controls are great, it's pretty balanced, it looks good, etc.
I've got a couple little gripes with it, though. --The 'landing gear', whether extended or not, seems to always physically be there. It sucks, catching on a corner and crashing, when you apparently didn't touch the corner. --The muzzle flash of the autocannon is kinda ugly, since it hangs around for a while, yet it doesn't stay on the barrel. --The thruster, when detached from the ship, tends to have the blue effect of thrust, but seems to not be propelled at all by it. --The "FFAR" rockets have too high of a GibImpulseLimit --double-tapping to turn around seems to not be nearly as responsive under heavy lag. --The autocannon grenades are too bouncy; they bounce before they gib, so the explosion bounces off the target, pretty sure you don't want that. --The rocket tubes seem to not stay firmly in position. Maybe just put them as part of the hull's sprite? --The upwards aim limit seems too restrictive as is, maybe 15 more degrees or so?
Some ideas for expansion of the mod --A version capable of transportation/delivery of stuff. (at the cost of a gun and retracting landing gear) --Ammo crates bought in the buy menu. Some ammo is a standard feature for the ship, but extra crates would increase capacity at the cost of weight and gold. Maybe even different types of ammo, or even different weapons? --Smooth turning? I know it's quite a lot to ask for spriting, but it would look amazing. --A third gun that aims with the machine gun fired with mouse 3 could also be cool. Maybe a high-spread shotgun?
dauss, self.maxPayload, line 38 of the hydra's lua, seems to do the trick, for rockets. Line 36, self.maxAmmo, is for the machine gun.

Only one word can describe this: EPIC. First I was like "Yay! New mod!" Then I was like "It's Abdul Ahazred's mod! INSTA DL!" After tutorial I was like "THIS THING IS EPIC!" After trying to beat easy mode for 10 minutes I was like "♥♥♥♥ this is hard! Those coalition clones must be cheating!" After winning the mission I was like "Wooooow this thing is epic!" Hot damn this mission and mod is epic. EEEEPIIIIIC. Also, I managed to do a backflip. With the help of my modified pineapple And FuzzyMelon, I didn't manage to get my gunship so far into the tunnel. But into the tunnel anyway. Going to try the "hard" mode.

Only problem with the ship is that it rolls WAY too easily.
The mission is just badly executed.
-You barely get any guys; the Coalition gets like 5 times as many. -It's impossible to defend the base without cheats (I called in an automated AA gun and still couldn't hold them off). -The Ronin soldiers are too heavy. They can't even fly when you throw away the crap they have when they spawn. -Using gunships on a base full of SAM sites and guys with Homing Rocket Launchers is ridiculous; you can't can't the gunships alive at all, so you lose them for the base attacking part. -When reinforcements come in by dropship, they are placed very poorly, because the Coalition can just keep shooting them down, and the ships don't come very often.
I'm pretty sure you'll make improvements, seeing that you always do. Great job, though, I love the gunship in both forms.

You have to protect the dropships.
