UT3 Singularity Rifle (Shock Rifle) *Updated
The Shock Rifle from Unreal Tournament 3. Tap fire to fire the energy beam and hold fire to launch the energy ball. Fire the beam into the ball to create a powerful explosion. Change Log: (4-25-10) -Fixed trajectory of the shock rifle's alt fire. -Changed sounds -Added InstaGib Rifle Credits: CaveCricket48 - Coding, Lua scripting numgun - Requested the mod, sprites, aquired sounds Makers of UT - Original idea Enjoy.

Cavecricket, this gun is amazing. Beautifully executed; just perfect. I never used to like the shock rifle before, but hell if it's not gonna be one of my favorites now when playing UT.
EDIT: The only issue I can discern, minor as it is, is that the energy orb takes a trajectory slightly higher than where the player aims. I have no idea if that was intentional, and it's easily overcome, but I thought I'd mention it.

Are the explosions 1 shot kill? Plus does the beam to dammage?

Very nicely done, though the ball seems to travel abit too fast and manages to get away before I get to take a shot at it most of the time.
Also, the delay between firing a ball and a regular shot should be shorter. I remember being able to shoot a ball, blow it up and kill myself in less than a second in UT.

Awesome. It seems CC has the havoc factor necessary for UT weapons to be used correctly! It works wonderfully... now I wanna play UT...

This gun makes me so mad in UT '99. You can compare the overuse and homosexuality of this weapon to that of the ACR in Modern Warfare 2. No matter, you did an awesome job creating it for this game, CaveCricket.

Excellent coding man, you made it function just like I imagined it! However, my sprites turned out ugly and it needs much better effects than now and I'm willing to work on that. I'll play with the effects, sprites and sounds to make it much better on this week and then send it over when I'm done.

Need an overcharge version that maintains the vortex for a solid minute/As long as you hold down the fire button.

I'd run around and get spammed by plasma balls until I got close enough to one and then their aim-bot would kick in and say "BLAM!, ASMD combo you're toast nub LOLOL!" Seriously it was the ♥♥♥♥ Halo 2 Plasma Pistol + Battle Rifle lameness except like 5 years earlier. I'll get a better sprite for a UT'99 version. I'll also get a version for the insta-gib variant (my favorite).
