 Lunar Weaponry
The Lunar Plasma Digger is an extremely powerful short-range tunneling device. The plasma reactor located at the front of the gun superheats the air around it using a method involving an array of electrical outputs that fire several super-high-voltage charges in different locations in a very short amount of time. The newly-created plasma is quickly shot out of the end of the device with a blast of compressed air and the arcs of lightning that follow are controlled by the prongs at the end of the device. The Plasma Digger doubles as a melee weapon, but has the advantage of longer rage over other diggers that would be used like chainsaws. This distance between the attacker and the defender allows the attacking party greater safety.

The Lunar Assault Rifle is the standard-issue primary weapon of the Lunar military, and even if wholly average, is the weapon of choice even for some veteran soldiers. The assault rifle fires a quick, three-shot burst in a tight cone and over long distances. The reliability of this gun is its main selling point, even if it is not as powerful as some other guns. The rifle fires supercooled plasma cores as opposed to lead slugs, so the gun itself is lightweight and is boastfully easy to reload. The magazine carries thirty rounds. The various perks of the gun make the Lunar Assault Rifle a worthwhile addition to one's personal armory.

The Lunar Machine Gun is a specialty anti-infantry weapon used by the Lunar military. Like its assault rifle counterpart, it fires supercooled plasma cores, but at lower speeds to allow for the quicker loading of the cores from its expanded magazine. The cores fired by the machine gun, however, are segmented - they are cylinders cut in half down the middle and then attached together with an adhesive. A notch at the end of the barrel shaped like a tiny blade splits the core back into two when it hits it, thus allowing for an extremely quick one-two punch. While heavier and more expensive, the ability to mow down advancing enemies makes the Lunar Machine Gun a lifesaver in many situations.

My apologies for the gif, Photobucket shrank it.

(from the rules thread)
You could simply post a still picture, that would suffice as well. Don't worry, no penalty as long as you fix it.

I do find this digger to be original and cool looking, but you might want to make the particles dig a bit faster.
heres a picture for you to use.

GIF added.
Also, the rate of fire has been lowered to extend the life of the magazine and to make the visual effect of the digging blasts more prominent.
The sharpness of each particle has been increased.

Another thing to add to my plasma digger tier.

I like the visual effects on. It's like...Uh...Christmas lights...?

I think I'll DL.

Looks cool, however, with a little bit of Lua, you could make those christmas light strings seek out gold, digging little pixel-wide tunnels. Then it would REALLY be cool. It would still have to snake somehow though...

They're actually meant to more closely resemble tentacles or arcs of electricity. Maybe if I tighten the rate at which the pixels spawn behind, it'd be more obvious, but that'd make it lag more...
Ah well. This is meant to be an all-purpose digger. The other one will be more specialized.

Updated version, now with a custom weapon sprite and several other tweaks. Final version, save for some tinkerings I'm likely to carry out.

Thanks! I'm currently working on a burst-fire assault rifle to go with this.
