Vinepit

Current version: 1.0



Delete all old versions before installing a new one!


Features
  • Wants to kill everything and everyone*
  • Grabbing-vine is made out of sprites
  • Awesome sprites by Adriaan
  • No escape for normal humans/robot
  • Once a victim has been pulled in, it dies a painful death
*It may not be able to kill rockets and/or dropships

Missing features
  • Some way to kill it


Credits
  • Dauss - Original idea
  • Grif - I used his line-drawing script (Used different script from 0.9 and upwards)
  • Adriaan - Made the awesome sprites

I just tested the vinepit against dropships, rockets and rocklets. Dropships will be latched onto but can easily get away. Rockets can be pulled in if your not careful. Rocklets and smaller craft can be pulled in easily. All ships take damage once inside the pit. Looking forward to some awesome sprite for it tho. :smile:

Cool mod! After testing them out in moderate amounts i went all out and covered every inch of the battlefield with a vine pit. It makes me laugh seeing AI dropships dropping their poor soldiers right into a vine :grin:. With large amounts of them CC crashes after a while though..

I just have to say the gif has amazed me.
How about making it so that the vine comes from a generally random point?

Yeah, then the sprite should probably have several vines in a cluster.
Also, does said pit auto-clean, because it might get clogged with gibs and blood and such.

Considering it's MOPixels flying at high speed around there, it should auto-clean. Haven't tested over long period though!

I had nightmares of this when I was younger... It scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of my pants.
Anyway love the pit, just love it. All we need is a sprite to replace that squarish square thingy.

I'm working on a sprite, although it won't be a Star-War-esque pit of Carkoon :P
