Post subject:  Growth Pod *Update for B30

An organic pod that grows various creatures. Hold Fire to access your growth menu to do different tasks. 1 is spawn a Jumper Soldier (light), 2 is spawn a Crab Soldier(medium), 3 is spawn a Walking Growth Pod, the infinite sign is auto spawn, and X is cancel. You can also set the rally point for spawned creatures to go to by placing an AI GO TO point.

-Updated for B30 (not optimized though)
-Added the Walking Growth Pod

(10-8-09)
-Replaced button spawning with menu
-Added Mega Crab
-Made Jumpers light soldiers and Crab soldiers medium

-Added togglable auto-spawn (jump button)
-Made signals for auto-spawn and ready-to-spawn

It's fun, but it doesn't really work because you need to constantly tell them to go different places or you end up with a jumbled mess of seafood well away from your spawn zone.

I think it's pretty useful in human versus human battles. And it's better than a troop spawner that doesn't have a rally point option.

Set the waypoint where the battle is fiercest and you'll be good.

Just played with this. It is amazing! Very useful, and the little crab people are excellent defenders. I love it.

These are great in a pinch, when your all out of gold and and need a backup. Maybe add a heavy unit spawn every 5-10 spawns?

This looks like a sweet idea! I plan on using this to lazily overload enemy bases with annoying swarms. :P

Hehe, now this is something you don't see everyday - Little crab soldiers.
Very original, probably practical too, though that i'll need to see for myself.

Now, make little jumper soldiers.

Would be especially fun in multiplayer.
Going to try this out but you should try and get a profile of a crab for the head.

This is a very nice mod. It's a very simple addition to an old concept. This is the most productive sort of mod, I feel, in terms of this community.

This opens up a new level of tactics in cortex command. Now to modify it to spawn coalition blokes with assault rifles and pulse diggers.

Oh god I love these little bastards.
I just test played them on multiplayer with my cousin. He completely ♥♥♥♥ himself he was all like "WHAT IS THAT, WHAT IS THAT!" then he was all like "THEY WONT STOP COMING THEY JUST WONT STOP!" then finally he went like "OH GOD, OH GOD THEIR EVERYWHERE...... NO, NO, NOT THE BRAIN NOT THE BRAIN ah ♥♥♥♥ you!" lets just say I had fun with these little guys. Oh and their seavered head makes great decoration on the battle field. Their little heads actually marked my armies progress as I went along. [drunkness]The more crab heads in the area the longer the battle had lasted, the fewer the heads the more crabs were completely obliterated by air strikes.[/drunkness] lol crab battle

Edited the more um.... drunk bits I think?

Glad to hear all the good comments! I might make jumper soldiers, they'll be good for a bit variation. I'll probably make a more serious version of this with my cloning tubes.
