My first real Lua mod: the Translocator from Unreal Tournament. ^Gif by Subiw Bounce the Beacon off walls to access other areas. If the Beacon is close enough to another actor and you teleport, they will be Telefragged! Note: The second and third gifs are out-dated. If anyone would like to make gifs, that would be appreciated! New Feature: Camera Mode! Press Pie Menu and go to the "Patrol" option to toggle camera mode. While in camera mode, press Fire to delete beacon, Crouch to teleport to beacon, and Pie Menu to exit camera mode. _____________________________ Controls: Fire = Launch the Beacon Fire (when the beacon is out) = Delete Beacon Crouch, Left, Right = Teleport to Beacon Pie Menu => AI Gold Dig = Teleport to Beacon Pie Menu => AI Patrol = Toggle Camera Mode -While in Camera Mode- Fire = Delete Beacon Crouch = Teleport to Beacon Pie Menu = Exit Camera Mode _____________________________ Update: (11-27-09) -Camera mode added -Better visual effects -More sound effects (11-23-09) -Translocators were not very compatable with the Gravity Gun last update, now they are -Translocators were not very compatable with the Pulse Rifles last update, now they are -No more Telefragging through walls (11-22-09) -Improved controls -You can only have one beacon out at a time (8-23-09) -Re-did visual effects (8-22-09) Again -Sound and visual effects -"Simple" controls for GamePads -Minor bug-fixes (8-22-09) -Telefragging added -2004 Translocator added (8-21-09) -Added '99 Translocator -Added sounds effects -Easier to bounce the Beacon off walls ______________________________ Credits: CaveCricket48: Most sprites, coding, main Lua scripter Grif, Mind: Lua help TheLastBanana: Lua Help Darlos9D: Looked at his scripts alot LowestFormOfWit: Sounds Duh102: A glow And anyone else I forgot.

Hate to break it to ya but this was already done in the Pack of Lua stuff...sorry man, it's a great concept and all and I like that you took the inspiration from Unreal Tournament though! |

Which pack of Lua stuff? Oh well, that's not going to stop me! Besides, I just finished re-doing the sprites. |

Mail2345's Lua stuffs. It has a tellynade launcher that functions exactly the same. |

There isn't a description of the tellynade in mail's pack. Nor do I ever recall seeing an update for this tellynade. Other than that, what do you think of the sprite? |

Well, it's not your fault, but I hate the design of the UTIII translocator. It looks like a red UT99 Ripper that got raped with glowies. The UT 99 one was way better. The sprite is as accurate as CC will let you be though I think. |

I'm not getting any good images of the ut99 version with google. I seen 3 different ut translocators before. One that is shaped like a wedge with a yellow beacon, another that is shaped like a palm-pilot, and the "ripper raped with glows." And wutangfan, search shows that piipu made the tellynade, not mail. And it teleported you on impact, without the option to re-do or bounce it. |

My favorite translocator desine is the palm-pilot one (2004 I think). But maybe I could just make all of them... I'll take the sounds and get spriting once I sleep. It's almost 1:00 am where I am. |

Agreed LFOW, the original UT had the best looking everything. Enforcer? Actually a good starting weapon, 2 of these babies was better than most other guns. Impact hammer? Way cooler than the shield gun, and actually took SKILL to shield yourself with, not to mention REFLECTING ROCKETS! Ripper? Oh wait they took it out of later games :\ Redeemer? Dude, it looked like a rocket launcher, not a shotput-thrower. I agree that the Translocator looked best in UT, but it was an awful small device, and probably wouldn't look good in CC. |

Sprited and added the '99 Translocator and put in sounds effects for teleporting and deletion. It's also much easier to bounce the Beacon off walls. |

No, but I have an idea that will get it to work. Currently, the teleportation sound is an emitter that is created when you teleport. If the emitter has a deadly burst of particles, that could be the Tele-fragging. |

I think it might look better it the top was facing the camera, in an odd way. like, you just turn it, so you can see the disk, and the top of the translocator, instead of it looking like just a gun, I'm drawing up some sprites to see how it would look. I'll pm them to you, or post them here when I finish. |
