Grappling Gun
The Grappling GunBrutus pulls a poor clone's head offThis spiffy little does mod just what you think it does, it lets you grapple onto walls, units, or even pull stuff towards you, all for the small of price of 85oz! Get your grappling gun today! Three poor robots struggling to escape their deathFunction:Shoot this at anything and it will latch onto it, creating a rubber cord between you and the target. Press the spacebar to break the rope and use the +/- lengthen or shorten the rope's max length. Pressing X will activate a secondary action. The gun breaks and launches a projectile that will rope up to 3 actors to the ground and zap them to death. Attachment:

The ripping off attachables feature is simply amazing Edit: For anyone who saw our earlier conversations, I told Roon to go ahead and release his version. Mine was too buggy, and I'm too lazy atm to fix it Edit 2: Okay, yeah...crashes are a problem.

You might wanna change the breakoff key to something other than z. DarkStorms uses z for melee, and I use DarkStorms for everything.

I have a CC install for it alone, because it crashes a lot and I'd rather not go through the constant restarts.

Would it be possible to give the grappling gun 2 shots: the 1st shoots the grappling hook, and the 2nd cuts it off? That way it wouldn't need another key to cut it.

I fixed most, if not all, the crashing errors and also made the line not snap when you cross the scene wrap (i think). Roon is probably asleep right now, so I'll just post this for now.
Just extract this to your Grapple.rte folder and override the hook.lua file. Roon made the updates.

the code here will be used in Zombies09 by the way. as you can imagine, zombies on a string is fun. feature suggest: bidirectional pulling, not just boolean "you are heavier", or thats the drift i got from the OP. this version, especially with kryed's mods, is much better than the previous versions, good job

Awwww...the cord snaps before the two rockets I'm grappled to can rip me in half =( Edit: Oh dear... Dead guy on a rope! He just kept swinging around and around....it was disturbing.

Ah, yes. Another step closer to Lost Planet mods. Funniest thing ever: Make a big square with bunker modules, with a single soldier in the middle. Give him a grappler, and shoot each wall and the ceiling with at least five ropes. Jump. I will post a gif as soon as I can, but I assure it's EPEK.
