War Zeppelin - LFoW's Mod Contest 3 Entry
Here's the War Zeppelin I entered in Mod Contest 3. The Zeppelin is a large dirigible designed to deploy tactical air strikes from high in the sky, laying blanketing explosions upon a bunker, or a mass of enemy troops. Bombs come out very fast, allowing quick concentrated explosions on one target, or allowing a large spread if the Zeppelin is moving. The Zeppelin comes ready with 10 bombs to drop upon an unsuspecting foe. As with all instruments of war, there is a weakness. The Zeppelin is not durable. To protect it you must remain high in the sky as direct fire will overpower it quickly. The Zeppelin is made up of 95% custom gibs: This is Version 1.00 PLANNED FEATURES: -Music intro when craft enters battlefield. -Custom bombs (Current ones are resprited vanilla bombs) -More epic scuttle (Lots of fire effects that hopefully won't lag) -Sparkle Magic-powered auto-reloading payloads. -More Zeppelin-like floating and bobbing effects -Ability to flip facing POSSIBLE IMPLEMENTATIONS: -Complete air strike version, which orders multiple Zeppelins to move through an area and blanket it with bombs. Basically an air raid you can order. Thanks again to all who tested it and/or voted for it during the mod contest! P.S. Looking for a Sparkle Magic man to help implement some of these features.

I wish it can flip sides, but it's already very epic.

Those bombs should be MOSRs.

Oh, this thing is awesome, I love it. I suggest you make it gib into falling, burning Hindenburg that when hitting the ground gibs into what it gibs into now. Terribly drawn Kirov reporting! (I felt like I had to do this before anyone else)

Yeah, a massive fireball and damaging flames (like in the molotov)as a final blow would be most awesome.

Sweet, this looks like a great ship. With those todo-items finished it's going to be even better. CC =/= reality, and does not have to, but the engines are a little oddly placed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Zeppelin_diagram.png (Link rather than in post 'cause it's large.)

I should just start calling you Sparkle Mailgic2345, huh? PhantomAGN wrote: Sweet, this looks like a great ship. With those todo-items finished it's going to be even better. Yeah its fuselage and engine placement are based heavily off of the Kirov Airship from the Red Alert series, as Roon3 and many others have noticed. I'm happy with where they are now, just not happy with the little particles that shoot out from where the invisible/unhittable real engines are.

You need to make the 'door' animation with more frames if possible, so it looks as if it's dropping the bombs one by one. Also I agree with the suggestion of when it's dead, have it fall slowly to the ground, burning and ♥♥♥♥, and when it hits, it gibs into its current gibs. Would be awesome.

In the small timeframe I didn't have a lot of time to fiddle with the door. Honestly I could only get the door to rotate, so I just had it look like the bombs were entirely removed, coupled with the dropping of the bombs being fast to "simulate" them falling. If i had it my way, the sprite would change based on the dropping of the first 3 bombs.
