Left 4 Dead: The Survivors (Last Update: B23-Compatibility)
This is some content based on Left 4 Dead. Just standard actors, and some devices that have some kinda special features.

Image
The survivors have protagonistically exaggerated resilience, and hopping instead of jetpacks.
Unlike in Left 4 Dead, the four survivors have specialties, because four of the same is just no fun.
To make the healing items work without crashes, the survivors' FG arms don't gib from wounds.

Bill is particularly resilient to wound damage.
Louis has a higher jump.
Zoey has a faster run.
Francis is particularly resilient to impacts.

Image
-The weapons are very reliable, because they don't break. Instead of gibbing, they recursively gib into themselves, resulting in them being dropped.
-The Uzi is a modified Ronin Uzi, with a fifty round magazine and some muzzle flash sparks.
-The Pump Action Shotgun is a fairly generic shotgun, but with a low spread, making it abnormally yet realistically long ranged, for a shotgun. The M16 is more or less the Ronin M16, but with a fifty round magazine and some muzzle flash sparks.
-The Auto Shotgun has awesome short range power, but the the effectiveness gradually dies off with distance. Still good against zombies at mid-range though.
-The Hunting Rifle is a powerful long range weapon with nearly perfect sharpshooting accuracy.

-The pistols are really reliable, when other stuff would be broken, they're still working for you. They can be dual wielded, so they're found in the shields category.

-The First Aid Kit heals 50 health instantly when used, and then it heals 30 more slowly.
-The Pain Killer Pills heal 50 health instantly, but then slowly damage away 50 health. Really, they don't heal you, they only sustain. Unlike in L4D, you can die from their effect fading off, if you would have died without them.

-The bombs are disabled by default because they still look awful, even if they function about right. To enable them, delete the //s in index.ini

Some screencaps, not entirely accurate to the mod as it currently is

All in all I've lost most of my interest in this mod and likely won't bother updating it further, aside from keeping it compatible with current builds. Ringwall, the main spriter of the mod, apparently feels similarly, seeing as he hasn't logged in to this forum over a year.

Now to complement this, some one should make a zombie invasion compilation pack including the vanilla zombies with better stats, zombies made by other modders with their special abilities and placable zombie spawn modules that you could set up a zombie scene with places you'd like the zombies to come out and how many of them will come.

Besides that these are pretty good squad of heroes that are fun to use as a single team or as hero units on the field to go out in the field and fight the bad guys.

P.S Dont worry, I already made the ronin more varied between each soldier some time ago.

There's disabled but included faster/weaker zombies in the mod already. They also wield the worst attempt at a claw anyone has made.
From them, I found that fast/weak zombies just don't go over well in CC. In gameplay, it's like in left 4 dead when a horde comes at you from the same doorway, you just mow them down, no hard aiming required. It's kinda lame.

Cool. Although I don't know if even that will get me to stop from exclusively using Dafred anyway.

Also cool.

I think if I actually bother with a bigger zombie-based mod, I'll drop the whole left 4 dead thing and make it an original story/setting/whatever. More and more I've agreed with Grif's first post in the Mod Making topic for this mod. Remakes just aren't that interesting.

remakes are grating to make, agreed. zombies all in all are pretty fun though.

Very nice. The shotguns look a little long, but I'm not picky.

Downloaded.

Mac compatibility = BIG FAT NO.
My version's compatibility = HELL YES!
Mac users show me a good file hosting site and I'll show you a decent mac zombie survivor mod.

You can add files to your post... So you don't need a hosting site!

I went for L4D accuracy and realism mostly on the sprites. To be honest CC proportion/style was an afterthought. That's a common flaw in my spriting. I'll work on that for future things, but I'm personally satisfied with the device sprites in this as-is.

To be honest I hadn't even considered mac compatibility. Nor do I know how that works.
I'd gladly throw the download link for the mac compatible version on the OP when you upload it though.
You could use filefront, but it requires making an account, which is a bother.

File's too big for attaching.

Yeah, thats why said "better stats" as in stronger and resiliant.
And special abilities could be stuff like propeller hats that make the zombies wearing it hover every X seconds or such. If I'd do the zombies, I'd go silly and throw the default L4D stuff out of the window mainly because most of it just wouldnt fit or is impossible to do.

Stuff like acid spitting zombies, zombies carrying chainsaws and run fast, fat mutated lardarse zombies that simply ram into you and explode with acid after a preset 10 second upon entering the field and other silly stuff like that.

That is the best idea since... ♥♥♥♥, I don't even know.

Yeah, l4d's specials aren't well suited for CC, being both impossible difficult and stale.
