It was a experiment to see how machines could run a city, without any of the "human" prejudices, or any "feelings". It could manage commerce, law, and disasters based on data collected in real time. It was given control over a large team of robots for that matter. After a few years, it was dubbed as "perfect". The super computer deemed the machines inadequate, and started to modify them, they looked less friendly but could carry out more tasks. The result came out well, the city began to grow at a exploding rate, as more and more people came to live there. Suddenly a violent chain of events occurred... A influential science fiction writer wrote a book about the dangers of machine rule. This wormed its way into the political critics of the DS-XXX. The creators managed to save the DS-XXX, but only for a short time... One of the machines supposedly under the super computer's control massacred and destroyed a section of the city. The critics now had a large stepping stone as news feeds of the event started to spread over the world. Dissenters beyond the city borders organized a anti machine organization with the book as their bible. At that time, there were many supporters of the super computer. Revolts started, and the super computer sent its machines to stop them, however, there were many casualties along the way. The number of supporters dwindled, and soon the city was dead. Yet the super computer still ran the city, which no longer contained anyone. The dissenters were at a all time high. Not wanting to lose face the planet's government allowed the power plant connected to the city to be shut down. That was the end of the super computer's first life. The DS-XXX and its now dead machines were shipped to a far away junk yard planet and abandoned... It saw it coming miles away. The computer had itself modified from the inside with a miniature reactor, hidden arms and legs, a fully humanoid form. All the while keeping the weight and external appearances the same, as a hobby. In its real time data collection, it had planted numerous "human" machines to research literature, entertainment, all the things that make a human. It watched too much "gundam". The junk yard planet started to change, slowly at first, but quickly turned into a world of steel in a matter of months. Alarmed and amazed, the original planet sent in its million warships, will full orders to completely turn the planet to crisp. They were gone before a shot was fired, no one died, but thousands of crewmen drifted aimlessly in space, the once celebrated space fleet no longer existed. The city it once ruled became a center of crime and corruption. There was a man who organized the supercomputer's unjust departure. He captured a certain machine and turned it into a killer... He was destroyed, not killed, one day. The world the supercomputer ruled simply faded away from the world's original system, soon it was no longer there. Years later... Updated... Turned it into a pack, added the DS06... Lazy... DS06 carries the emitters issue, it piles up. So watch for lag, other then that... Fun weapon. *Runs* |
