I'm not saying a dislike the helmets, because i like them, alot. Im only suggesting a different style of shading/coloring, so instead of the lighter colors being in the middle, a gradient like effect going diagonally from left to right, or vise versa

*scribblescribble* While i appreciate your suggestion, i much prefer my shading to convey the volumetric shape of the object in question. Also, the helmets have been outdated for a while now, i'm positive i can make them look better. Along with some of the armor. I probably won't touch Anthony's sprites though. ¯\(°_o)/¯ Who knows what will happen? Will i ever finish doing this? Do i have to pee really badly? Stay tuned... Edit: also durp without faceplates

Ah, the Pelian Armed Forces. My most beloved of all factions, with DSTech and Darkstorm coming in tied for second.
Not only is the Pelian's armaments balanced while remaining potent, they possess several technologies that I wish were more widespread.
Melee weapons, diggers, mechs, orbitally dropped bombs and teleporter beacons.
The rockets are a favorite as well, as are the tasteful way plasma and energy weapons were introduced. By far, the only gripe I have is the rather flashy displays of gore and blood, but what was I expecting, rainbows and puppy dogs to fly out of the neck?
Shook, keep up the good work, and here's hoping to an update post-B24 release!

That's good to hear! @RHONON: Oh man, i'm so glad you like these guys as much as you do. I've spent way more time on it than what's healthy, especially the actors. All that spriting takes forever. :U Also, regarding the blood and gore, i say if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing. (thanks mythbusters) Also, i've begun the painstaking process of respriting MARS's weapons. Because let's face it, the current ones (except the autocannon) look like plastic toys covered in Gish. Making them as dark as that is against my every spriting principle, but i really don't want to change the entire palette of the army. If i did, there's over a hundred sprites to modify. As a lazy young man/student, i really can't be assed to spend that much time making sure that the sprites look like they belong together. Also, i believe the edgier design fits MARS better, since it's also rather edgy.

Terrible(ish) sprites, but great functionality. That's about what we've come to expect from the Pelian Army, and from Shook's stuff in general. The Pelian Army is already great to play with, but with improved sprites they'd be one of the better armies all-around.

I reckon it'll be a few years before i can compare to those. :U (because honestly Darlos is a ♥♥♥♥ good spriter and i'm pretty 6/10) I'm glad you like the functionality though, since i typically put the most effort into making stuff work like it should. Also, Mega Cannon. I also Lua'd up the Singularity Cannon, so it actually sucks things in before breaking them, like a gravitational singularity should. Still needs some tweaking, but it works. Lots of applied phlebotium everywhere. Edit: Also before i go... Shotgun and Plasma Destroyer.

There we go. Kind of. Might have to lighten the grays a little, in order to match Anthony's style, but the shades of green match all over. I also Lua'd up the Mortar Caller as well as the Hailstorm, so they act a bit more like lasers. Plus, the Mortar Caller now has a dynamic crosshair. In other words, until it disappears, it shows the absolutely exact position that the mortar will hit. Not accounting for the width of the mortar. The Hailstorm just hits instantly now. I also finished respriting MARS's weapons, and made it hold the Plasma Destroyer in a different manner. Why? Because i realized how silly it looks when a giant ♥♥♥♥ robot, which has the strength of 300 cyborg bulls, uses its shoulder to support a gun it could lift with one hand. Exhibit A: all robots. Human mahscles are terribly inefficient in comparison to, say, hydraulics. Ever seen that TV-series which once showcased an exoskeleton, which allowed the operator to lift 100-some kg repeatedly (read: stopped because of boredom) without breaking a sweat? This is much the same thing. Now i need a break because i worked on this the last 5 hours.

I always felt that the singularity cannon seems a bit lame for its size and shape. I'd suggest giving it a more intimidating look since it is supposed to be a really deadly big gun. As an example, the plasma destroyer looks badass and intimidating. If you need help designing weapons, go to deviantart.com and search for weapon related keywords. From there, you can find all sorts of concepts and designs that you can study and take inspiration from. I get a terrible sense of deja vu when reading that post of yours. :U Anyways, yeah, i guess you're on to something. Plus, making it look hardcore-badass-raper-of-armies would allow me to make it even deadlier. Right now it pulls stuff in, but stuff doesn't necessarily reach the center, and may just get slung around a bit (although it does destroy crafts pretty badly). What i'm thinking is that the radius should be a bit smaller, but anything reaching that radius WILL be pulled in and get torn the ♥♥♥♥ apart. Stay tuned, i may have a new design in the near future. Edit: Anyone ordered a large ham BIG ♥♥♥♥ GUN? Personally i think it looks pretty good. Better than the previous one, anyways. Now to give it matching effects.

Now thats more like it, but why so yellow? If thats the new singularity gun, maybe those yellow bits should be blue like in the old one, cause right now I'd imagine it being a plasma cannon of sorts.
Actually, you know what? Plot twist time!
The current plasma destroyer sprite would fit perfectly for the singularity cannon, just change the yellow details to blue. And then use this new sprite for the plasma destroyer since it fits it perfectly. The old plasma destroyer's radar-dish firing thingy looks like its some hi-tech experimental anomaly-based weapon part, while the new sprite's barrel is more of a big cannon barrel which would suit the plasma destroyer very well since it launches a big blast of plasma like a cannon.
