Hey, forums...
I haven't been able to get my gatling gun, gatling laser, or the automated grenade launchers to work.
I've dropped in a DarkStorm heavy in with a gatling gun and the required ammo, but I still can't fire anything.
I'm using a mac, is there a compatibility issue?
Can someone help if it's not compatibility?

Thanks! Same problem on windows. i cant get the Oni Bushi's guns to work correctly.

The info about how to get it to work is in the OP, though it could be a little more spelled out about how to get it to work. The ammo pack cannot simply be in your Oni's inventory, but must be dropped from inventory it to activate.

Now this is a mod that needs to be updated. It had all the things we gamers love and more(except for maybe some bunker pieces)

Agreed, I remember DarkStorm from way back when. Great mod, would love to see it updated to B27.

Did anybody test this for B27? Because I'm pretty sure it works just fine. The version I have from, like, B24 still works. So I'm pretty sure it still works fine for B27.

If it does it is because it does not reference anything renamed/changed/moved. I, however, would like to see a version that is metagame compatible.

It's not going to be 'fine' for B27 just yet-- the CastMORay and CastObstacleRay changes are going to cause a ton of slowdown the moment you try using the lasers, electrolaser rifle, missiles, actors, and so on.
It shouldn't be too hard to fix them, but metagame support is a secondary concern when the lasers and several other weapons will cause hideous amounts of slowdown (and be nigh-useless, on account of not firing because important parts of their scripts are broken) until fixed. I'm confident that Darlos is already aware of the problem, and for all we know he could actually be working on an update and/or at least intending to fix it himself.
