Gotcha! wrote: @Thor: If you looked at the last version you'd see I dealt with that problem. People can choose now and it's fine this way. That aside, don't go releasing someone else's stuff without the person's permission please. Thanks. Sorry, this thread has just gotten so bloated I don't really care to browse it.

Re: UniTec (B23_1.0.2)
I hate transformers, their whole idea of transforming into another vehicle just for disquise and some other purpose they could have done in their normal mode and their puny laser cannons just sucked. : C
Also no, ancient mecha or anything over-tech like Zone of Enders like stuff doesnt really fit into Unitec. Mechs like from mechwarrior that are pretty cumbersome and mainly just giant tanks on legs and more guns is perfect for Unitec. Exactly what Gotcha is doing right now.

Also; I think it's been said before, Gotcha, but the exoskeleton feels a bit tiny. You usually think of exoskeletons as being kind of extensions for a soldier, so it would be kind of justified to expect it to be slightly taller than your regular old UniTec soldier.

The exoskeletons could be operated by midgets.

It's the new guy called exo soldier. And, yeah, I am working on improving it. Edit: FZ, did you get enough oxygen during birth? (Rhetorical question. Don't post an answer.)

Ragdollmaster wrote: AKA, it would have bright rainbow colored penises jutting out from all surfaces- the typical Japanese giant robot. I beg to differ. A japanimech with, "bright rainbow colored penises", would be much less effective (without it's Deus Ex Machina sparkly particle things) than a tank with legs. Why? Cost to effectiveness ratio. What good would all those jutting bits be? Afaik, none of those spikes and extra decorative bits ever do anything, adding weight, cost, and visibility with no increase in effectiveness. Therefore, without some save-the-day plot device, a mechwarrior "gritty" mech, or a front mission 4 boxy-looking mech, would be much more effective than a mecha with more bling than a white rapper. EDIT: After a re-read, not sure if you're in parallel with my analysis or not. If you were saying something along my lines, I apologize for reading it differently. Anyway, opinion still stands.

I lul'd at the bling one. But the "Gritty" one is what I'd like.

Duh: Nah, I was thinking the same thing as you. By 'typical giant Japanese robot', I don't mean the stereotype, I mean the actual, common military-grade mechas they show in a lot of anime. Instead of Mr. Cliche McUber Awesome White Rapper the 60 foot tall glowing rapist.

Re: UniTec (B23_1.1.1)
Alright, while I continue with this mech I wanted to post v111 due to many fixes.
- Added tank - Sprite has been made by NaXx. Additional thanks to Geti for getting the darn thing to move. (Don't expect a smooth ride though, since CC is far from vehicle friendly.) - Night Ops can stealth now - Lua code made by Mail2345. Using any of the silenced weapons in UniTec provides a stealth bonus for this guy. Let me know if he's too overpowered and/or laggy. - All actors have had a major overhaul, coding-wise. Ridiculous high values have been lowered. They also hurt themselves again when falling too hard. - Fixed the last of the faulty offsets (I hope). Thanks, numgun, for picking the bad ones out. - Redone sentry gun sprites. - Redone LAS and LAS-R and made updates to almost all other sprites. - Redone landmine / Added airmine. Both triggered on proximity. (Thanks, num.) - Changed bullet colours/lengths/etc. to be easier to spot (on maps with a lot of light). - Customized the unitec dropship a bit more + new sound. - New sounds for jetpacks. - New actor sounds. Almost every actor has his/her own voice now. - The Preset actors carry less weapons now and the gold cost of the weapons have been reduced to 0. I am leaving out the base actors now, since I do not see a point to use them anymore. Plus, I like the named actors. (These will probably end up in missions later.) - The two undead guys will keep functioning after losing their head. - Exo suit has been updated. Thanks to Ivan for lending some legs. (I do not yet know if the changes will be permanent.) - Dummy heads and jetpacks appearance improved. - Bunker/Sam can straighten themselves out if they're on their sides. (Just mess with the arrow keys. It's a bit rusty, but it usually works.) - SAM missile's effectiveness has been improved. - Moved UniTec Sub1 to Pistols.

I would like if there was an option for activites units to have HitsMOs = 0.
