Thank dear sweet god, we don't get an unnecessary tacked-on HDFirearm that does nothing but spawn sharp particles for a fraction of a second and is in fact less effective in every way than a pistol.

there was actually a really good sword someone made where it emitted particles up and down the blade when you fired it and could actually slash and stab with it.

How did it work? The mod is nearly 3 years old and no longer has a download :(

The mod itself looks fantastic. Too bad there is no download, or I would try to make it compatible myself (with my shitty knowledge of coding on this engine, and my equally crappy lua knowledge)

here's the sword (in the .rar attached), it's at the bottom of the weapons list under AAL


just put the .rte in your cortex command folder like any other mod. i gave the sword sound and unlimited ammo.


all credit goes to numgun


to everyone else who doesn't have this wonderful mod here's a link to download, i'm sure it's current to the one in the thread i linked to

Alright guys, I hate to say this but I have absolutely zero motivation to work on this mod right now. My computer was just recently hit with a virus so hard that it couldn't even boot anymore, so I had to reformat without being able to back anything up. Now, I was doing periodic backups while working so I all I really lost was some stuff I did with the Oni, BUT I still simply have no desire to go back through that, even.

Furthermore, I have this other big project I need to be working on that I think I can safely say is more important than this mod, since it's a full-blown game from scratch (as opposed to a mod for a game that nobody actually ♥♥♥♥ knows about). I've been neglecting it for far too long. Once I get all moved to my new apartment and get started with my new job, I think I'm going to focus more on working on that project, rather than this mod.

Maybe the motivation for this mod will come back to me later, but it just isn't there right now. And I don't want to provide uninspired work, or do things that I have no desire to do. Sorry, but this mod isn't going to get updated for a while.
