If you ever work up the desire, a custom mission might not be so bad.
A band of rogue DS Clones calling themselves the "DarKlones" have hunkered down in a derelict research facility and are threatening the operation of their former order. A detachment of elite tengu have been tasked with eraticating the plight by whatever means necessary.

They'd have to be controlled by a brain.

Then a damned brain unit went rogue and took clones with it, SUCH IS THE PRICE OF FREE WILL.
Imagination.

Re: DarkStorm Military Technologies - Updated 9/7/08
he'll probably get around to this so i think thats enough requests for the scene for now. the mod is excellent but some weapons need a little teeny weeny touch up. The Gl is too short range for me i end up walking up to the guy and blasting him, they could use explosives (as in grenades etc.) the carbine is a little too powerful it totally obliterates robots and i think a medium unit would be nice.

How about we just stop ALL requests? Seeing as how, you know, I hardly ever do what other people suggest if it isn't regarding some kind of glaring flaw in what I've already made. Seriously. I'm starting to get annoyed in general with all the "ideas" the people keep spewing in this thread. It's for feedback for what I've already made, not for everyone to come in and tell me what they think I should make next. I make things as inspiration strikes me, and trust me, you guys talking about what you'd like to see does NOT inspire me. Except maybe with the D0 thing. Though that was really more me acknowledging that if I made something with the designation "D0" that it would have to be something really nuts. I have no idea what it would be though. As for the Oni, I figured I'd use that name if I ever made anything like a mecha. Though it'd be more like a small-scale Evangelion in constant 400% synch ratio mode. Which means it'd be some kind of organic giant humanoid in armor that howled, slobbered, and generally tore stuff up. Like a big angry monkey in armor.

Re: DarkStorm Military Technologies - Updated 9/7/08
Or the D0 could a brain unit. Like the "origin/creator/master/sensei/else".
But I do like the idea about a small scale melee mecha on steroids with blades. Kind of like the "forbidden project" that DSM isnt too fond of showing it. It could work like a monster weapon for last resort missions like a Jack Bauer from 24 where they drag him from a rotten cage, arm him with a gun and toss him at the terrorists.

Re: DarkStorm Military Technologies - Updated 9/7/08
My reasoning behind making the Oni a brain unit, was that I can't imagine you always having time to build a bunker before the enemy attacks. So, you have the Oni which can defend itself, take a beating, escape from danger, and quickly build an underground shelter. It wouldn't exactly be fast or mobile, so that prevents people from going rambo.
