I see what you mean! Many filepaths asked for "M.A.R.S." with the period at the end, when it in all actuality didn't have any. That's a bummer from my side, 'm afraid, but i wonder why it doesn't cause any errors on Windows?
In any case, i'll upload the fixed version ASAP...

so when i corrected it i tried to go into skirmish and any battle i want to start wont go the screen stays black the whole time. what can i do to fix this?

Love this faction. When I fight against M.A.R.S's, I always grab the chopper and jump at him, cutting him apart, limb by limb. :D

Whenever I try to go to skirmish or campaign mode, the game presents me with a blank screen. I am running the Mac version.

I have no idea about what's going on there. Apparently, there's something in the mod that the Mac version doesn't like, and i don't know what. Perhaps this should be reported to Data somehow?

The only problem I have with this mod is the weapons. Almost none of them have any real character, if you get what I mean. They're just bland and boring. I do like the cluster mortar, laser rifle, M.A.R.S weapons and the minigun, but that's it.

True that, unfortunately. But hey, we need bland and boring weapons to make the other ones look special. >.>
Honestly though, it's pretty hard to put any character into an assault rifle or an SMG, because they're just that, assault rifles and SMG's. I suppose i could try at some point though.

Also, a little heads up on what I've been working on lately... The Vindicator. It's basically a gun that replaces the Pelter and Pounder. It has a little twist, however. Every once in a while, it fires a small shotgun blast. While this does reduce the long range efficiency a bit, it also ups the close combat efficiency a good deal, despite the fact that the pellets have low penetration power. I still need to polish it up though, and it's going to need some beta testing afterwards. But after that...

If you look in the folder, it sits right in front of you... And yes, i will keep it updated, of course. More or less. Can't guarantee that you'll be facing every weapon they have, but it will be functional.
Just make sure that it's the only one that's read by CC, and you should be good to go.

It looks okay, but there are almost too many weapons. I don't really like the sprites, either.
They have like 3 versions of every gun. It's overwhelming.

I have a hard time seeing how you can think that about this medium-sized arsenal, but when i think about it, there are some superfluous weapons. I'm willing to bet that Poppy is very rarely used, for example. And as mentioned earlier, the Pelter and Pounder are going to be replaced by the Vindicator. I could probably remove the plasma and napalm versions of the Lobber too. I usually only use the frag one myself. That's already four weapons off the list... And i have a pretty neat idea for the Lobber now. First, it fires a tracer shot that shows where it will impact, and the second shot fires the grenade.
Can't fix the sprites though, sorry.

Shook , are yougoing to make any close combat weapons for M.A.R.S. ? I know , its hard im curently work on close combat weapon for BED but everything looks so crap and boring .....
