Re: TF Grappling Gun *Update (5-18-10) Smoother Swinging + Guide
Actually, if you had looked at post dates, you'd see that this is from May last year and that it's the previous version of the grappling hook, not a newer one.

Oh, my bad. I just thought it was a newer version, since it had more features. Of course, that doesn't always indicate a newer version. My apologies.

Is there going to be a B24 update on this?

Why don't you try it and see if it works with b24 or not, instead of posting the question?

Because, unlike the spelunker, this cannot attach to actors (and craft), only terrain.

Is there a way to go into the files and change it so it hooks onto enimies?

Awesome job, awesome job. The Grappling gun was already really cool, but the more you improve it... anyways, I don't really find the swing guide useful, but the spring and double-claw modes are of great use to me. I hope your evolution of this mod continues!

Emogotsaone wrote: Is there a way to go into the files and change it so it hooks onto enimies? yes, yes you can. however, you need to change the scripting. I think including a seperate version of the grappling hook in it's current state that can grab enemies and craft would be cool, just have the normal one and another one you could buy. I could so picture double grappling a pair of the little dummy turrets and flying into battle, realeasing them into enemy lines... or perhaps a pair of mini-dummy/mini-coalition light actors with powerful weapons... both options are pretty cool.
