If anything gets claws it'll probably be the Kappa. I intend to make that thing very animal-like. It might even have claws built in to aid in climbing.
But the Kappa is so B21.

Another overhaul? Damn you change your stuff so fast.
I would want to say if you're going to make a another standard pistol, than please give some more kick for the revolver. Give the rounds more mass, less sharpness and some nice amount of recoil. That'd be great.
Btw, are you planning on making some sort of faction resource collector or perhaps a DS special digger or something like that? Or any other tools? Like a grapling hook if possible with Lua?

A grappling hook would be kinda pointless in a world where everyone has... jetpacks. Also, I think we're overdoing what a revolver is. A revolver is just a type of pistol. It's not a .50 BMG sniper rifle. The round my revolver fires is basically a rifle bullet version of the .44 magnum. Sure it has kick, but a trained user can use it just fine, won't be blown backwards by it, and its not THAT powerful. Actually, the bullet itself is lighter than a .44 magnum bullet. Sorry, but I'm not here to emulate Hollywood, which gets guns wrong on a regular basis. My revolver can penetrate armor better, but that's about it. Don't expect people's heads to explode when you shoot them with it.

I like the cut of your jib, Darlos. I've used your mods every time I've played CC since your old darklones, and I'm looking forward to your next release.
And as for grappling hooks, you could use them to hang below an enemy lookout/ embrasure like thing, (all ninja like) so you wouldn't run out of jetpack fuel trying to stay up, or have any mishaps. you know, if you're into walls. I guess.

Don't expect people's heads to explode when you shoot them with it. Hehe, I guess I've been watching too much Dirty Harry movies. But when I'm making weapons I usually put the word "awesome" before implementing balance. I mean I give the gun a satisfying feel so you'd actually enjoy firing it each time and then balance it from there. Also youre wrong about the grapling hook. In CC, the jetpacks are cumbersome and make you rather clumsy while airborne, a graphook can swiftly change your flight direction and let you do some fun stunts like you could do in worms games and even help you get to places when your jetpack isnt enough. Also graphooks can be used as a weapon, not powerful, but fun. Imagine 2 guys on a balcony and one of them shoots a graphook at another guy and then the shooter jumps off the balcony while holding tight on the hookgun... fun, no? I will try making a hook for the AAL Pilot when it might be possible. Prom said he want a graphook in CC so it might even so that they will implement it even with the official stuff. All a graphook needs is a gun, hook that sticks and 2 points that draw a dynamic line between them and connect the hook with the gun.

Okay okay, you guys are selling me on a grappling hook. Actually, if that works out well, I might do away with jetpacks alltogether. I do have to imagine they're annoyingly cumbersome, especially if one is trying to be stealthy, particularly indoors.

Grappling hooks will be especially useful on maps with low gravity.

Ah, grappling hooks. The epic way to go up. Now, how do you intend on "using" it? 1. A gun that shoots a kunai tied to a rope? Then you climb it? 2. Manually throw it like a grenade? And has an anchor shaped object tied? 3. Or like this?

I have an idea for the controls for the grappling hook. Fire = fire hook Fire (after it attached) = release hook Sharp + Switch Actor Buttons = retract/extend rope. DarkStorm Grapple Hook to the rescue!

Re: DarkStorm Military Technologies - Updated 7/11/08
Just make it simple like the ChaoticDreams guys did it: One button
Press Fire to fire hook. Hook is now stuck to something and is pulling you towards target Press Fire again to stop the pulling. (Tarzan swing mode) Press Fire Once more to let go.
Additionally a climb-up button may be assinged to the jump button or something but this is a good scheme.
