And that's yet another update! Things changed: - Obliterator added. - Assault Robot jetpack reduced in power. ... Yeah.

Awesome. The obliterator functions exactly like I imagined. Seems there are not enough bomblets, but thats my hunger for power at it again. : d

Why exactly don't the Pelians like energy weapons?

I think that part of the story should be erased. Or replaced with "Pelians <3 energy guns".
I guess its probably because energy weapons are more complex to manufacture and maintain and they are probably more volatile than a ballistic weapon if it breaks or something. And the soldiers like ballistic wepon more becuase they are much more simple and they understand more how they work.
Me thinks.

Like us Terrans, they've been using ballistic weapons for quite a while, and energy weapons come as something new and not as reliable. Naturally, they trust the ballistic weapons more (They won't fail in their faces), but they won't hestitate to use energy weapons if ordered to, or if required. Anything else would be stupid, considering the power of these energy weapons. The ASR and MARS don't give a crap, because frankly, they're robots. They're unable to give a crap, and much less just to crap. AND THIS, GENTLEMEN, IS WHY THERE ARE SO MANY ENERGY WEAPONS.

Energy weapons go against the creed of the pelican religion. But the grand pelican has decreed that homegrown energy weapons are okay as long as regular sacrifices are made. But only in limited quantities. (I read that in an "official guide to the pelians" at a comic shop)

I thought it would be more like they tend to explode, so they make the robots use them.

I have never had this problem, However I have also never played CC on a laptop. Woah, scratch that, I was just playing cc, and I started exploding when I used the Abolisher, Just at certain angles though.

Re: [WIP] The Pelian Army *Update: November 19th*
Wait, i think i know why. It's because the burst of the thruster goes above the GibImpulseLimit in certain situations, causing a gib. If i toned down the burst... *Codes a little* ...Then it should theoretically make it much less likely to happen. It simply can't be because of the rocket colliding with the gun, as the emitter is fired directly, and FireIgnoresThis is set to 1, causing the rocket to pass through gun and wielder without collisions. This problem shall be fixed in the next update, hopefully without screwing up the gun entirely.

Re: [WIP] The Pelian Army *Update: November 19th*
It's supposed to be an armor-piercing cannon, preferrably with a shaped charge or something like it. I have experimented a little with a shaped charge-like explosion, but it really isn't reliable enough, and i'd have to give it a ridiculously high muzzle velocity for it to work properly. So chances are, unfortunately, that it'll be removed before long.

Have you looked at the code in Darlos's sniper rifle? It might be exactly what you're looking for. I think it uses negative bounciness to make the particles get drawn into the target upon detonation.

Darlos uses negative bounciness, you say? Sweet. Looks like there might be another name in the credits list, if it works. TO THE CODING BOARD!... But first, some liquorice is in place. I need ammonium-chloride if i am to code properly. I should also look before i test.
