Re: Spartan ~{WIP}~ in relation to Forerunner
Mehman : Omg, awesome. the only reason i was a bit hesitant was the distance between the shield and the Spartan. Big credits for you. 41157ON3 and Ket: It IS roughly based on at least the same technological tier. Some (or almost all) may (do) disagree (think I'm crazy) But, most races still use metal bullet based weapons, efficient space travel in both cases and organs and entire clones can be grown in both. I also said technological tier, not age. Or were you talking about the covenant? Oh and the disembodied brain thing, yeah that's a little ahead.

Re: Spartan ~{WIP}~ in relation to Forerunner
Firstly, in CC space travel has only been recently discovered, whereas in Halo (based off my limited knowledge) it has been exploited for some time to expand man kind and create war ships. Secondly, ballistic weapons are only half of those available in Halo, as the covenant uses plasma [?] based devices. In cortex, they mainly use metal projectile weapons. And, my greatest and most prominent point of all: A.I. The Cortex A.I is... not within comparison of the Halo A.I.

In CC, it is fully viable to economically exploit space as a resource option. CC warships are able to fight lightsecond engagements. CC energy weaponry is able to carry practically infinite ammunition as well as continue to be significantly more compact whilst holding better stopping power. CC AI is able to produce a fully sapient being in a CPU the size of a human head, including casing, power source and cooling unit. CC life support is able to fully support a complete human brain in what appears to be a glass sphere.

Re: Spartan ~{WIP}~ in relation to Forerunner
I said around, and if you meld all of the UNSC technology together, i think the molten tech blob would be roughly the same as the Coalition, definitely bigger than Ronin. Humans only took a hundred or so years to obtain the Shaw fujikawa drive, which makes space travel a very viable option for colonization\military\commerce between planets. also they do not travel at light speed, rather at normal speed but in a different space, which means the have merely a different means of travel, not a less efficient one. Cortana is easily contained in a small palm sized chip and has the computing ability beyond any humans (in one of the novels, a lesser AI (still smarter than us) is contained in a chip roughly the size of a micro SD card) Bullets in halo have just as much penetration and force as cortex, an elite without its shields can easily be taken down with clip of the MA5C (normal difficulty) and they're pretty armored as well as being much stronger than an average Human. 41157ON3, thank you for your input. (I have personally spoken to Ket and all of his points are invalid due to his him not even owning a Halo game and his general dislike for the series.)

Worthless point. Try a lot more. Fail Flail wrote: (I have personally spoken to Ket and all of his points are invalid due to his him not even owning a Halo game and his general dislike for the series.) The boy lies. His side of the argument is being disproved (As disproved as something that doesn't exist can be) so he is resorting to drastic measures.

Re: Spartan ~{WIP}~ in relation to Forerunner
The Halo universe is up to the exploration stage. The CC universe is up to the exploitation/industrialisation stage. The difference is immense. Halo spaceships engage in battle at sub light-second distances. CC spaceships battle at dozen light-second distances using weapons a fraction of the size. Halo spaceships travel quickly by working around relativity. CC spaceships directly defy it, once again, in a fraction of the size. If you're going to reference covenant technology as part of halo, then CC should bring into consideration the whitebots, which are several times more technologically advanced than the coalition.
Kettenkrad: Be calm; there's no reason to get worked up over such a minor issue.

Re: Spartan ~{WIP}~ in relation to Forerunner
What I'm trying to say is that the UNSC could exist in the CC universe, granted it would be beaten around intolerably, but a fight between a marine and a coalition soldier is quite imaginable and Pelicans have the same flight abilities (if not more) as a drop ship. The only place UNSC tech really doesn't meet CC standards are in space flight and combat, but that is noted thoroughly in the games. But either way, people like this mod and I'm going to continue with it. I really can't do the walk paths, I've changed some of the sprites to work though. And could some one make little glows i could use for the shield?

Re: Spartan ~{WIP}~ in relation to Forerunner
Fair enough. To do walkpaths, try watching a video of a man walking from a side-view. Then, divide the video and take a single frame from each division. Note down where the foot is in relation to the hip and do this for every frame. It helps if you can think in graphs, as you will then be able to modify it yourself afterwards until it works.

Also concerning halo weapons some time ago I made the plasma grenade(with the sticky effect too), you may include it in your mod if you wish: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=20050Ps: I sent you a PM about that some time ago but you didn't answer, did you not see it?

Re: Spartan ~{WIP}~ in relation to Forerunner
Adding more sounds at the momment, looks good for an update in a week or two. Mehman, I Want to thank you once more, this shield was one of the few things i was afraid i wasn't going to be able to be in this mod. Also i remember your PM (and now wish you to thank you for another contribution of the like), i forget so many things, its all most dangourous (reminds me about a few other pms i should respond to). With the addition of the shield, (will be officialy released later(in the meantime dowload shield version anyway))removing the jetpack and replacing it with a jump is a better option, other wise the jet pack destroys the shield. I may add the jet pack as another actor though.

Hm? Marine is almost finished, but if anyone had any ideas on how to randomly select a head, pm me or something. Starting work on the mac cannon (called in with that designator from halo reach) and i have decided to start on the drop pod soon.
