Re: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Updated 2009-09-01)
Wow, you beat my humvee code in stability. Bit of a question, how well does your vehicle code work at high speeds?
That said, I'm requesting permission to make a UAV that can launch the Jericho missile based off your code.

Sure, and that sprite looks great. I don't have the time to work on it my self at the moment, but if you want to please feel free to add it. If you attach a version that includes the Jericho here I will add it to the main page.
The armored car is not fast like a race car, but it can still be several times faster than a walking AHuman.
Edit: A self.Vel.Magnitude up to 20 is OK on rough terrain but the suspension starts to look a bit funny at those speeds. This thing is still in the experimental stages so that might change in the future.

Magnitude? I thought the wheels worked by AngularVel...
No matter what, I cant figure out how to make the body adjust to the wheels and the wheels to the terrain, so I'm waiting to see the code to try it on my car.

Could you release that armored car and let other devs work with it? That kind of stability and perfection could be implemented in so many places.

Mod makers can be said as devs I think. : 3 I mean we are infact developing something.
Probably a more official name for a mod maker is Modification Developer? : P

Re: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (2009-09-14: Now with the Jericho)
Hacky indeed, especially the version for maps that x-wrap since it has to scroll. mbbird wrote: Could you release that armored car and let other devs work with it? That kind of stability and perfection could be implemented in so many places. It is far from perfect, but the worst of the problems are now solved so you can expect a release in the not too distant future. Anyway, it is now possible to air-deliver Deathbringer's awesome Jericho missile.

Re: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (2009-09-14: Now with the Jericho)
Yay one of my favorite missiles with one of my favorite planes ^^ WIN! however I edited the Jericho to make a homing one you might want to look into that... (page 6 Jericho thread)... I'll be making this have that one but If you want to that would be cool Abdul Alhazred wrote: ZevN47 wrote: I'm liking the idea of porta-AA and I think the planes should have contrails. I agree about the contrails, but all my attempts failed because of what happens with the emitters when the sprite is flipped. Would be interesting to see what you come up with though. The AA turrets are Crabs, so you can easily make them walk using the legs from the Turret controller. Ok I'm still working on this... your right about the Flipping, Flipping
