then the "gunner" is killed, and that the closest thing you can get to a colation gattling turret size turret.

Re: Warhammer 40K Compilation [R4 Out!]
Nothing says we can't make things up now and then! Asklar has sent me some code for bayonets, so the IG will get those for their Lasgun and Grenade Launcher in the next release. Something else I'm messing with; I love versatile weaponry. But you probably figured that out by now. I am not so keen on the Plasma one, though.

Pay a little more attention to the first post. There's a link right after the attached pre-recompilation version.

Re: Warhammer 40K Compilation [R4.5 Out!]
Since I can't think of anything else to do with it right now; R4.5 is out! Download it!R4.5 Changes; ×× Bayonets for IG Lasgun/Grenade Launcher, and maybe a few other weapons yet. Press 'F' for hot stabbing action! Lua sorcery by Asklar! ×× Frag Rocket 'Shaped Blast' Particle now has full-circle spread, so it should be less effective on direct hits. Maybe. ×× Cleaned up a couple of redundant sound files. ×× Imperium Grenade Launcher now has Timed-Sticky Grenades. They have a bigger punch than normal grenades and fly further, but the timer makes them less practical for close-quarters fighting. Hilariously good against dropships and other craft. ×× "Widow" Mini-Turret in AP/Kraken Heavy Bolter and Hellgun flavours, for base defense. They have Ceramite armour (same as Space Marines) and pack a bit more punch than normal Heavy Bolter/Hellgun, so pack heavy weapons to kill them. Sprites by Kettenkrad. ×× Incendiary Rockets. Shower your target with a spray of burning material and temporarily slow down an enemy advance. ×× 'Space Marine' part of Autocannon & Heavy Flamer names replaced with 'Astartes' to match Lascannon.

Re: Warhammer 40K Compilation [R4.5 Out!]
Hey, really liked the mod! Loved it to pieces, though I'd have to say, IG flashlights are a little too strong ;). I'd have to say that the only bug I found was that the Hellgun sometimes spazzes out and goes like 3 feet and abruptly stops, as if it's hitting something. It actually does this quite a few times, like maybe 7-8 consecutive shots but it varies. I'm not sure what the conditions under when it happens are, seemed pretty random to me. Other than that, excellent mod! Looking forward to seeing more of it! (hint hint, terminators :O?)

Re: Warhammer 40K Compilation [R4.5 Out!]
Las shots have very varying effectiveness associated with them throughout fiction and games. I decided to make them decent but not excessive; any weaker and they'll be even worse than basic slug weapons. Yeah I could probably change that, but I really don't feel like fine-tuning the mass/sharpness/etc. behaviour at this point. It's too much trouble for a minor thing right now.
Shots stopping in mid-air probably means you're shooting off the edge of the game world, which is going to be more of a problem with the inaccurate Hellgun. I'm not sure how to fix this since I didn't make the original scripts.
Terminators have been discussed before and probably won't happen. Just way too much trouble right now.
Also, now past 800 post-recompilation downloads since the release of R1! Steadily catching up with the original version of the compilation.

Wow these new bayonets are awesome. They fixed the issue of close quarters flashlight self-harm.

Are you going to make terminators at some point? Jealous? And no. I already said Terminators probably won't happen just there! Problem is the sprites, really. Most of them are unfinished, and Termis would need an entire helmet, plus it'd just be awkward as hell in CC right now. There's not much room for the head/helmet on the torso sprite. One of my ideas for finishing them is to have the helmet integrated into the torso sprite, permanent-like. Then they have a dummy head that can't be hit. End result; Termis can't be killed with headshots, giving them a pretty big advantage over regular marines even if we elect to keep them using the same armour material as the other marines. ~~ Mingebag7 wrote: Wow these new bayonets are awesome.
