Re: The Wehrmacht - an Axis mod - WWII
Dieselpunky UAVs with twinlinked MG42s. I'd say keep the Officer as a Brain. As for the support name, I can't see an elegant and simple way of saying 'machinegunner' in German. Also, lugging around an MG-42, a VSG1=5 -and- a Mortar? Might be a bit too much weight!

Re: The Wehrmacht - an Axis mod - WWII
You need two type of support units. One would be the heavy machinegunner, and the other one would be a "siege" or "artillery" type of support unit, which would be equipped with the mortar.

Re: The Wehrmacht - an Axis mod - WWII
Hmm. Maybe the VSG goes to the sniper, and the machine gunner gets a Luger, MG-42 and mortar? As for names, Google Translate (<3) gives a nice and easy "MG-Schütze". That should do for now. If any Germans want to help out (in crushing my dignity ), please do so! EDIT: Miggles, you so fast. I think that'll do perfectly.

Or at least one with more flying capabilities than a standard jetpack can provide, like that one backpack whirlybird device image posted somewhere some time ago. Who's to say it's not (sort of) in? Also I want to throw in support for a flying troop. A big jetpack thing might be more fitting than a whirligig though.

Re: The Wehrmacht - an Axis mod - WWII
are you planning if making a b27 campaign compatible version? It should be easy cause the actors are already pre-equipped so you don't need to add weapons in each pre-set. cant wait to conquer enemy's with an army of space Nazis!

You don't intend to remove the Volks Officers, do you? I liked them.

Could you add some scenes to this? Maybe Normandy or Berlin like places?

It wouldn't fit into CC lore very well, but maybe. --- Ladies and gentlemen, a preview of the previously stated line-up. Once I fine-tune the flamer guy, these'll be ready to use in the metagame and such. EDIT: These are the buyable guys. There are a few background actors that serve as the presets in the metagame.

Niiiiiice. I especially like that turret. But then I've always been a fan of the old 2cm Flakvierling/38, which it is very much reminiscent of.
Flamerguy needs to come in a gatling variant though! That huge tank screams 'ammo drum' to me.

Oh My God...I can't wait man... Oh, just remembered, it wouldn't me too much funny to dominate the planet with Nazis in the meta game because AI is too dumb...use a drop ship to drop his brain alone inside a base full of heavily armored guys with bazookas and Gatling guns is just being an AI in a meta game.

Looking forward to pitting these guys against Chrobotech troops in the metagame.
