Re: UniTec (1.0.4)
I am gonna use my H-weapons remake as an example (not that it got every popular anyway)
The remake has 6 weapons, 3 new ones and 3 of the olds ones The old version had 16, and the new one is infinitely better in every way
Your mod may have like, 7 cool weapons. But it has 30 other bad ones.
edit: What THOR is saying is that you should remove all the unnecessary crap because it is bloat beyond belief

Re: UniTec (1.0.4)
He has given you countless points.
1. Make all your guns unique. Your guns are pretty much similar to each other, try to spice it up.
2. Don't add 6 guns for the sake of six guns. Don't have a ♥♥♥♥ load of rocket launchers if they are all alike. This goes hand in hand with 1.
3. Wait, I don't have a three.
We aren't nitpicking on personal taste, we are just pointing out flaws in your mod.

Re: UniTec (1.0.4)
1. HOW would you like me to make them unique. "Make your guns unique." Wow, that's a big help. 2. I'll be the one who decides what gets put in my mod. If you call this a flaw, then be my guest, but don't mind me when saying it's a crap remark.

Re: UniTec (1.0.4)
Well, most of your gun sounds are rather mediocre and the majority of them clip.
With the currently huge array of guns you are providing, I have no reason to use the G36 over the M4. Good sounds would go a long way toward making firing either of these, or any of your guns for that matter, more satisfying.
Good sounds and effects give a weapon its character, which most of your weapons are lacking.
But you have to accept that as criticism instead of ignoring it as a matter of "taste".

Re: UniTec (1.0.4)
So the general complaint is that there are too many guns with too little variation? Well, then there are two solutions to make people happy. 1. Change most of the guns to have a specific purpose/strength. 2. Eliminate guns until only unique or mostly different weapons remain.
And before anyone accuses me of acting with the crowd, I will also list ways to change opinion to the mod rather than the mod to the opinion. 1. Convey the utility of having so many different looking guns. 2. Accept differences in opinion and build respect so that people will assume you have a reason for making so many guns.

This pretty much sums up everything going on here accurately. cambiogris wrote: Good sounds and effects give a weapon its character Yes yes 100x yes. A weapon in a video game isn't something that simply provides a function. As a matter of fact, most things in video games aren't that simple. Everything not only has to have good function, but also must have good sound and visual appeal. A shotgun just isn't a shotgun without a loud BLAM and the satisfying sound of the pump, and the shell hitting the floor. Bad or bland sounds really can kill the overall feel of a game.

Re: UniTec (1.0.5)
I can get some good weapon sounds if needed. I have what's practically a huge dump of them.

Hey, um, could you please submit it as a rar in the future? Zip messes it up for me and it's more work to load it.

Aaaaaaaaa-- *Deep breath* aaaahhhhhhhhh!
You sir, have made me a very, very happy man, with just the Crusader: No Remorse characters/guns. Good god, I havn't played that game in ages, either. Guess I'm going to have to dig around for the ol' PS.
On topic: Well, seeing as I epically fail at finding anything bad, out've place, or that I'm just not a picky person, this Mod is A++ to me. Insta D/L. :B

Morbo!!! wrote: What types of sound do you need? I'll pm you a rather large .zip of them when I get the chance Well, I've been told the Barrett needs a punch, as well as the AI AWM and PSG-1 I guess. The MSG-90 might as well be silenced. For the rest, I am content with the sounds, so I can't say what else should be replaced. Edit: My apologies, Ultric. I keep forgetting.
