Re: Armored Brain Units for Dummies NEW-V2.00 finally. 01-28-10
How about we all handle this like the mature adults we say we are on the age listing? Maximdude keep your opininions about it off here to keep Lfow Happy and Lfow stop flinging stuff at Maximdude to keep him happy? Quote: In any case, any further progress on this mod will remain hidden until I release it, since some people (read: jealous;incompetent) can't handle legit worklogs. I have plenty of people I can bounce my progress off of for feedback that don't succumb to such things. And why dont you just get this locked untill you release the next update instead not even repyling to other peoples ideas and saying that you shouldnt waste your time showing stuff to us inferiors and will only Pm it to other people. There are a good deal of us that are neither jealous nor incompetent who would like to A) contribute to help you work faster and B) would like to see progress, because hell we aint seeing anything else progress wise on new versions of the main game.

The people I'm talking about know who they are. When I say I will keep my progress hidden, I mean I won't paste things that aren't absolutely ready for being coded and released anymore. When I think about it there's no point in me showing things that aren't done.

True, but I for one, knowing that you only mod for yourself, still like the little bits of things that may get into new updates, its cool and it makes you want to wait for the next update.

I think that despite this being a very gentlemanly argument, with points scored all across the board unfortunately I've decided to crash the party and state now that this must end here. Now I hope the lot of you have settled your differences, because if not I advise you to take them to PMs, because this thread will be purged of any arguments that happen from now on, and the perpetrators shall be warned and/or sent on their way for a little while.
Now due to the eloquence (Read: lack of swearing, cursing, racist or otherwise language) of the arguments I'll leave them up, but that is for all accounts and purposes over. Do not comment on it or face the consequences.

Is it meant to be possible to pickup Behemoth weapons? Attachment:

Nah. Oversight. Minor easy fix that will fit in the next version. I've been aware of it.

While it has been an age or so since I actually updated anything on the publicly available version of the Behemoth, I will throw up a couple images of stuff I've gotten around to working on in some spare moments: First off, the grenade that's been seen in sprite help: a series of ideas for a Skull cage, to go under the Behemoth Helmet: and lastly, a much improved sprite for that awful looking shotgun: Mock-up of it in action: Fun stuff.

Nope I'm too lazy to help you, but I CAN tell you they're ♥♥♥♥ AMAZING and you're missing out big time by not being able to see them.
Lowest: Really nice, working that blue into the true grey is tricky ♥♥♥♥ but I think you've nailed it. The only complaint I can come up with is that the stock is a little dissonant with the barrel, not clashing per se, but it's just weird that one is blue and shiny and the other is grey and dull. It'd probably okay if you worked this dull grey/blue shiny division into the behemoth itself.

Might want to make the shotgun a bit more beefy, it looks sort of unstructured. Have an edit: But yeah, nice to see you working on this again.

When I switched to the blue-grey color I hadn't gotten around to anything but the main gun. It will be fixed. To show you what reference I was using, it's some 3d model of a SPAS 12, except I opted for smashing in a hard stock vs. the standard folding one: Still needs some touch-up like the aforementioned color matching, and a place for shell ejection, etc.

I'd reccomend making the shape a bit more solid then, the air cooling jacket looked like an attempt at some sights.

Re: Armored Brain Units for Dummies NEW-V2.00 finally. 01-28-10
Yeah I just don't want it to look too bulky, because it's already quite long, I don't want to worsen it by beefing it up much. Every picture I see of a real world SPAS they remain pretty thin.

Yeah, but when you have a 15ft giant crash test dummy, the rule of cool kicks in. Eg, if it looks cool, do it.

I agree with Lizard, it looks more like a Remington 870 atm.
