It will be some time before I get to this, when I do finally get back to modding.

Mind if I play with this? I tried some lua to give it flipping, but I ran into 2 problems. One of these is that the thrusters won't recognize that the ship is flipped and their attempt to stablize the ship actually end up turning it upside down, the other is that the ship's door won't flip, ending up looking ugly if the ship is travelling to the left. I've managed to fix the first problem by using lua to stablize the ship but fixing the door will probably take some more lua fiddling.

Can't you just make a version that faces the other way then you copy the inventory over to that one and replaces the other one with that?

You should understand this was done in a big rush for a contest and has been without an update since. Thus the hacky doors. Basically the bombs are the door and they open at a ridiculously fast speed, as well as items in the zeppelin exiting at a very fast rate, to give the illusion that the bombs are dropping from the holder.

At the time I didn't have a better way in the time allowed.
I'll get back to it some time in the future.

Doing the entire bomb dropping system with Lua (completely outside of inventory management, a la el plane) would probably be more efficient than trying to work around Data's nonflipping nonanimating dropship charlie foxtrot.

Hi, i know it is quite old, but you asked, among other things:

LowestFormOfWit wrote:

-Sparkle Magic-powered auto-reloading payloads.
-Music intro when craft enters battlefield.
-Custom bombs (Current ones are resprited vanilla bombs)
-More epic scuttle (Lots of fire effects that hopefully won't lag)

P.S. Looking for a Sparkle Magic man to help implement some of these features.

Well I did it:
Attachment:
File comment: Now with automatic reload system + music intro + custom bombs + fire gibs + no more bomb names + selection sound
Zeppelin.rte.rar [5.76 MiB]
Downloaded 351 times

Edit:Now with music, the song can be changed in the lua file.
Edit-2:I customized the bombs a bit, and added some fire gibs.
Edit-3:I modified the bombs so that the name won't appear anymore, added selection sound

It will add 1 bomb to the inventory every two second until it has 15 bombs,
it will continue to reload while bombing but to use the new bombs you will need to close the hatch and re-open it.

Edit: You may add this download to the main page of the mod if you wish.

Not sure what inspired you to resurrect a mod that had remained untouched for an entire year, but regardless, the Lua is appreciated.

However, I can't say I like the music or the "Kirov Reporting" sound bits though. While it was obviously the reference I was using, I don't want to deliberately associate this mod with Red Alert in game.

The music can be changed in the lua file, here AudioMan:PlayMusic("Zeppelin.rte/Soviet March.mp3",0,-1);
The "kirov reporting" can be changed in zeppelin.ini line 38 here: FilePath = Zeppelin.rte/kirov reporting.wav.

Edit: the music and the sound are just examples, they can be whatever you want.

Mehman, if LFOW actually bothered, I'm sure he'd actually do it himself.
It's not like it's hard to do or summat :/
