thank you, seraph. the next update will include zombie AI that doesnt just flail about on the ground and hope you step on it, so hopefully we'll see some zombies actually doing some damage. and yeah, overhead cover is necessary with this in skirmish

Double post for some updates. (not downloadable ones im afraid) the drop slug is a bit less crashy, but not much. the engineer cannon is far less crashy, but for some reason the engineer itself seems more crashy - -;; ill get some more sprites copied out, we have a total of 3 new actors in the pipeline, however draining that is to produce so work will be going into them when i arent working on my TC entry. as roon is also working on an entry, progress on this has slowed, however im still tweaking things when i have time and the deagle is looking and feeling a little better (though the bullets need a buff) in other news, the trenchies are about 60% done, and randomisation on them is going to look awesome. if anything happens that is large enough to warrent a release (which it probably wont, at least until the weekend) then expect something to download, otherwise, expect more textual and/or pictorial updates.

I kinda screwed up the code, so, back to spriting. I might be able to fix it though.

I love the Resistances the 2 beta and alpha soldiers remind me so much of the 2 guys from Army of 2. I dont know why they seem 2 strike a resemblance, maybe it's the mask, but I must say this is a real "Cracker Jack" mod. Ninja'ed the drunk bits out of the post

bad news, everyone! my PSU has died so im stuck on this laptop with only intermittent internet access, no spell check and a claim to make. as such, progress is officially stalled, and im annoyed that parts of my computer keep dying. however, hopefully nothing was harmed and i can resume development as soon as i get a new PSU from wherever.
glad you like the soldiers zeno, hopefully you'll like the ones coming aswell.

I like this mod and all, but one thing which makes me give it huge minus. Those one zombies or whatever they are have guns! : S
My logic: Zombies are things that want to eat you, making damage either with their teeths or claws. Zombie with gun, is just another human looking enemy with a gun, just the little detail that it looks rotten and all, but meh, thats just boring. Too human like if you ask me, zombies are beasts and beasts hunt their preys with claws and teeths. Humans shoot with their pew pew's.

It's Geti style (yes you have invented a new form of zombies Geti) Zombies, they have few smart ones known as Engineers whom make their makeshift weapons and vehicles, which is a great excuse for these zombies to have ANY form of space ship so that they can actually spawn in an "orderly" fashion. If we are to have old-school zombies there will be problems, since they don't have acesss to ANY technology or vehicles, and thus they can't spawn via rocket or dropship if we are to keep to the style. This is Cortex Command, we don't want normal zombies, we want Space Zomborgs! And Space Zomborgs have makeshift space ships and scrap rockets, as well as a few guns

Yeah I was just pointing my opinion of the thing, you either ignore it or agree on some parts of it, your choice.
I love oldschool zombies, I admit that, but the only thing I dont like in this mod are the zombies that use guns, I dont care do they appear to the scenery with broken spacerockets or something like that. Of course zombies have acces to different kinds of vehicles, for example if some mad scientist would send them on purpose at their enemy : D Even in game Resident Evil 2 there was car driving zombie in the begining!
And if we want zombies summon naturally, like zombies usually do, comming through ground there was mod made by Evilpony and he did this kind of zombie spawning very well, actually I still think he has done the best zombie mod for CC. I would still use that mod, if the zombie actors in his mod were resized to new Cortax Command actor style, because they were made in the older Cortex Command actor style aka smaller actors.
1nfernal, dont say we, when im pretty sure not all people think like you do and want the same sh*t like you do, not that your stuff is sh*t, thats just the way I put it. If you meant by zomborgs robot kind of zombies, daaaaaang! I think original CC robots were the most boring things to kill. By the way, if you wanna know better why they are the most boring things to kill, watch Ask A Ninja "Least Favorite Kill" at youtube, he explains it very well : D

smart zombies I wouldn't say that they look more like a mad scientist took a zombie a stuck a ♥♥♥♥ load of stuff on it and programed it to do the same to other zombies..I like that idea that makes me dislike the whole gun zombies less now ^^ , plus now that I think about it it reminds me of Quake II's Gladiator which makes it even more epic now I want to see a Berserker or a Parasite type zombie (for the Parasite I would settle for a zombie that walks on all fours maybe upside down like the exorcist and vomits on you) Edit: my pot now seems a bit out of place now since Tealord beat me to posting

the engineers are there to stay, the zombies do need some sort of projectile means of offense, however the other zombies with melee are going to be both buffed and improved, as well as more classes of melee and bloats being added. i have a few images that i really wanted to get onto the computer but now my psu has packed it in that will take at least a few more days. i'll expand the story more soon, but not until i have access through my own computer. i will say one thing though: Crazy-onallfours-angrymonkey-boneclaws-berserkerzombie. hopefully that will appease you, tea.

Nah, its just that I think zombies with guns makes them less scary, reminds me too much of humans fighting in real life about who is most badass. I really respect monster design in games, they need to be disgusting! Thats why it makes me little sad that I dont have PS3, because of upcomming game called Dante's Inferno, I mean man! That games monster design which I have seen so far blows my mind! They are totally disgusting and thats why you are afraid of them!
Yeah, I respect your mod Geti and you can do whatever you want with it, its yours and you want to put it in your style. I can always edit gun zombies away from activities, if I use it. Sure thing, Crazy-onallfours-angrymonkey-boneclaws-berserkerzombie sounds sweet, though your team would die before you could say its full name to warn your team-mates about approaching monster :p

I'm not into the 'zombies having guns idea' either. But hey, it's Geti's zombies, he'll decide. Besides, I usually delete lines consisting engineers in the activities. You can do the same if you don't like them. Though without the engineers the other zombies are...Quite helpless at this stage. Until the new AI comes. Some mid-range weapons, like flamers, long tongues, shotguns. And some close range projectile weapons like acid, vomit or gas. acid spit/vomit and tongues are coming, as well as some more grotesque monster zombies in general. im really happy with the current seeder zombie concept, in fact, have a concept. basically, a bloat that explodes into a mix of really sharp shards of bone, scraps of flesh that reform into dociles and possibly with a couple of fleshmine type organs mixed in with the general gore, as well as a more powerful jump than the current bloated and scarey eyes. oh, also, me and allen have been tossing this idea around, but i though i may as well get some community input: What do you think of zombies using spears? oh yeah, next possible version ill probably include a version of zombie cave using these zombies. hopefully we get new AI happening before then, so you can have zombies flooding out of the cave at you.
