Re: Brutality Mod
GOD DAMN IT.
I just spent WEEKS trying to remake this in B26, and then you update it JUST when I was ALMOST FINISHED. RAGE.
This is my favourite mod, hands down. I'll have to say though.. The sprites need a little editing.

Re: Brutality Mod
What took you so long? The version I posted is just the B25 version basically. It still works.
And yes I know I need to update everything. Sorry. I'm just keeping it afloat right now so I can get my CC fix.

Well, I made my own version, and I only started a few weeks ago, I had to do sounds and sprites, sounds were hard to find, and, well. Sprites. ... You know the rest lol EDIT Also, would anyone know how to disable the HUD, without editing the font, or actor height, like Lua, for example.

Re: Brutality Mod
In .ini, use "HUDVisible = 0". In Lua, use "self.HUDVisible = false;".

Re: Brutality Mod
It's that simple?
But where do you put it? I guess it'd be a bit like "Buyable = " and "ScriptPath = "...?

I figured that out earlier this year but then I forgot to actually do anything with it!

Re: Brutality Mod
Yeah sure, let me just finish off some of the ini stuff. I'll add that HUD thing too. I went about the worst way of disabling hud evar, I deleted the smallfont.bmp :S Edit WOW It works. :D! It disableizes the cross-hair too! ...Not sure if that's a good thing. Haha. Edit2 Please note, most of the sounds are taken from just random games, and one or two of the backgrounds from this mod. I still needed to edit the sprite shape of the coalitions and stuff, so at the moment the light soldier just looks a bit better, the heavy has better armor and so on, but I still needed to edit a lot of stuff, so not really "nearly finished" but I removed most of the items and so on. So basically, it's rusty, and would have been better off me just copying all the media from the original b23 mod into the folder and troubleshooting for a week. Balancing is a long story and AI is impossible, lua = no, and sprites are not my forte. /blah TL;DR Stuff is not good. ♥♥♥♥ like that. Here it is. Attachment:

And I think you should make a separate thread -edit- You do surely have an informative readme in there (HAHAHAH.....HAHAHA LOL)

You copy it over a fresh install of B26, so stand alone. Basically what I did is remake this mod from scratch, so, I redid everything, that's why it's a bit different. This is what I changed from vanilla: Wounds (damage) Edited coalition sprites Dummies have a metallic wound Textures Weapon bullet velocity and mass Coalition weapon sprites Mission activities Dummy drop crate Removed most weapons Removed most actors Removed a few mission activities Removes HUD That's all I can remember. Quote: You do surely have an informative readme in there (HAHAHAH.....HAHAHA LOL) Haha, yeah... I figured this mod has a readme that works, and why would you download mine if you hadn't downloaded the official one?

Re: Brutality Mod
Any chance of adding more stuff to it? Maybe a drop pod for the coalition? Or maybe some new guns like a sub machine gun? This mod is VERY cool! Setting up a base and just gunning down hoards of coalition clones with the minigun.

Re: Brutality Mod
any chance of more factions? i only like going up against fleshy things and i think the dummies suck...
could someone add ronin and browncoat at least?
and there was a sub machine gun at a certain point, he just removed it for some reason
does anyone have the version with the sub machine gun? i liked it and i want it back
okay it seems the SMG is in the b23 version.. nvm.
i'd still like more factions. at least a browncoat faction cause they're my favorite. when i say that i mean adjusted to this game, easily killable but less so than coalition and bleeding out kills them quickly etc.
how do i readd the map "thegap" and the SMG back into this mod/game?
never mind i fixed the smg thing. now i'm wondering about the addition of the map "TheGap" back into the game. it was in the b23 version

Re: Brutality Mod
I like this mod but whenever I play I feel very limited to only Coalition and Dummies.

Re: Brutality Mod
You are very right. Do you have any particular kind of faction (or soldier) in mind that you think would fit well into the mod?
trystanr: Well, I made it on a mac, in part, and I'm running it on one now... What is the problem you are having?
