Whoah, I'm really LOVING this mod, I'd love to see some missions or something, so you can go all commando on their base, something like the vanilla dummy mission, that's always interesting to play. Anyway, great mod, I installed CC in another location so I don't have to get rid of my other mods.

Okay, but it was a fresh install. as in I ran the installer to a new folder then installed Brutality right after. no other mods.

I think this is a good place to dump this line:
"War, war never changes."

I played around with this mod for a bit, I liked it. Jumping out of a rocket at a 3 story level then breaking my arms was hilarious too.

I'm having the same problems as a few other people - namely the "palette error" There was another one. I'll try to find the error message.

I've done several re-installs of vanilla(about 3) with the same results. I'm on a mac too, but it sounded like other people were able to run it.

Just to make sure I'm not making any errors, this is what I am currently doing:

1. Install vanilla B25
2. Copy Brutality Files
3. Paste
4. Say yes to "replace all files"

Are the folders being combined, or just replaced? I'm on a mac too right now, and a really annoying issue with finder is that folders are replaced. To illustrate:

On a non-retarded computer, this is what happens if you copy a folder over another with the same name:

folder1 (image.jpg textfile_a.txt textfile_b.txt)

+

folder1 (image.jpg textfile_a.txt soundfile.wav)

=

folder1 (image.jpg textfile_a.txt textfile_b.txt soundfile.wav)



On retarded apple computers this happens:


folder1 (image.jpg textfile_a.txt textfile_b.txt)

+

folder1 (image.jpg textfile_a.txt soundfile.wav)

=

folder1 (image.jpg textfile_a.txt soundfile.wav)




In short, files that were in the folder which was copied over but not in the new one are just deleted, and since Brutality mod doesn't include every file required to run the game, the game won't run.

Nah, just copy all the files from each directory. It's still a stupid waste of time, but it's not as bad as you think.

I think there might be a way to do it with a terminal command too, but I don't remember how.

I tried doing it by folder(ie "Ronin.rte") but it predictably didn't work either.

Directory is another name for folder.

You have to make sure that you not only get every file from every .rte folder, but also every file from every folder within those folders, and every folder within those, etc.

I tried that, but I got an error message.

Oh well. I'll re-download brutality and B25 again later and go at it again.

somebody....ANYBODY! HELP ME!

i DLed this mod, didnt work, deleted CC alltogether, re DLed build 25, and re pasted the mod. i merged all of the folders and stuff...start CC from mod manager...loads for 5 seconds. then...ERROR! it says that it couldnt load included data file in base.rte/scenes.ini at line 215. at line 215 it says to include datafile terrains.ini in base.rte. WHICH ISNT THERE! im sure the mod should have terrains.ini in it if it needed it but it doesnt!!! what do i do??? i deleted the line in scenes.ini and that didnt help! it said it couldnt load a blue grass file thing! somthing from terrains.ini im sure! why has NO ONE had this problem!?

ive been trying to fix it for hours and ive PMd Crow and he hasnt answered back yet! i REALLY want to see this mod! it looks EPIC!!!

If you're on a mac, there's your problem.

Apple, being the geniuses they are, have a file system that doesn't merge folders when copied over eachother.
