Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
For some reason the bat file just closes within miliseconds for me, what am I doing wrong?
EDIT: Nevermind, using some sweet wiki magic I figured out the problem - you didn't include a PAUSE after the selection menu, so it times out, here is a fixed .bat: EDIT no. 2: And even then the file doesn't work for me, the COPY command does not copy the file at all. Trying to fix that one. EDIT no. 3: Quick fix - Copy the text from desired preset to presets.ini, that's what the .bat was supposed to do.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
If you're not using windows then it won't work. If you are using windows, try going to the command prompt and type "choice" without the quotes and press enter. If it says 'Choice' is not recognized as an internal or external command etc, then choice.exe is not present in your windows installation or path settings for some reason.
Anyway, you'll have to rename the preset files manually then.
Edit: That pause you placed there is useless. You don't need to edit it. It works like a charm the way I made it. But whatever, knock yourself out.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
Ninja'd, hehe. I use Win XP; I made it work without the command line, but there seems to be something wrong with COPY function - access issues, perhaps? Edit: Yep, misunderstood your post. I indeed don't have the 'choice' thing. Weird.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
Seems choice.exe isn't always installed with windows xp. Great. Never had that problem when I used xp. Ah well. You'll have to rename them then, or edit index.ini to use another one. Edit: Grabbed this out of my windows folder. If you toss it into unitec's folder then it should work. Attachment:

Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
OK, thanks! I generally use my own custom preset all the time, but it might come in handy.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
okay never mind i just found presets.ini... derp
this mod would be one of the best if the offsets were perfect (which isn't hard to do, it's just really god damn tedious)

Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
And I still fix them here and there, but if people mention wonky offsets and don't tell me which offsets they're talking about then I can't really do anything, can I? In other words: What needs improving?

The streamlined (merged) weapons seem nice. More feedback after more... uh, testing.

It's just... so awesome! EDIT2: Some tips for the shield generator: -You could make it avoid absorbing particles with the name "Jetpack Blast" or any presetname you are using for your jetpack particles, in that way flying shouldn't waste the shield generator energy. -Some sort of graphic sign or something to know how much energy it has.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
I purposely took the shield meter away actually. I dislike shields myself. They are easy modes to keep your actors from being hit, but at least without a visual of how much energy's left people will try to avoid getting hit even with the shield on. /evil I dunno if I can solve the jetpack thing though. The script has been made by CaveCricket and I am still oblivious when lua's involved.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
Hm.
You are right in that, anyway.
I was going to say something else but I forgot ¬¬
EDIT:
I don't remember if this was what I wanted to say, but anyway, could you make some graphic thing to know if we turned the shield "on" or "off"?

Re: UniTec (B25_1.1.0)
Would people kill me if I would greatly reduce jetpack flight time, to match up with vanilla a bit more?

Not really. I think it's a bit too powerful atm.
