An easy, but good way to take off is by standing on a flat surface, activating the glider. Wait a few seconds til the user's back is at 45 degrees, hold the jet pack button, after a sec or two, lift upwards, and remember to always use the jet pack to keep a high velocity, and try to avoid stalling.

On topic: This mod is extremely fun to play around with and is(I believe) A worthy addition to the contest submissions. Keep up the good work!

I don't know about a training mission, because it is pretty easy to fly once you take off. A one-man army type mission though, now THAT would be fun! Flying around in an endles loop, dodging dropships and bullets, raining lead onto the enemies below

It is going to be glider racing, with flying pickups on the way and respawning, like Mario Kart You can quickly change One-Man army to a glider by going to Base.rte/Activities/One Man Army.lua and change line 9 to Code: foundBrain = CreateAHuman("Glider")

Hopefully I find a way to force constant dislodge on AHumans, which would make it easier to control, but other than that I can't really help you. And also I don't think it would be easy to take off/not die when flying at low altitude with one of these things in real life either

Using a thumper with this guy is the only way to hit anything though. i found that if you use any powerful weapon it seems to work. i personally use the Experimental Assault Rifle ( viewtopic.php?f=61&t=25172). it works well with the granade and the flamethrower (sometimes you catch yourself on fire =P), and the "explosive" ammo type.

Also, if your actor does lock his body vertical, you can hold the s key and the d for if you are facing right, or the a key for facing left. Your actor can safely fall to the ground. with a little bit of work, we can have a nice paratrooper mod.

God mode: Turn the actor into a sheep and make him explode on impact.
