Isn't it the correct word to describe the alpha, beta and gamma particles released when the nuclear fission occurs? edit: + neutrons If not please tell me, english isn't my native language.

The second and third uses of the word radiation in the original post should be unpluralised. The first and fourth may be pluralised if you wish.
