antimatter in bullets is a stupid idea. it would be cheaper to produce conventional explosive than it would be to produce antimatter for equal yield and a way of containing it. maybe in a cannon round, to produce, like, a small sun on detonation, but in bullets you'd be better off with francium or something if you can mass produce artificial atoms. or heck, just C4 or similar.
loving the video of the raingun firing by the way, cheers darlos.

loving the video of the raingun firing by the way, cheers darlos. And why would I go around dragging something that can critically damage a DSTech System Ship <Dyson spheres wheeeee>? Feel like rewriting the story... And actually thinking of going as far as to say DSTech is a purely machine society that mirrors human society, rather than a hive mind type, though that would bring all sorts of problems, yet at the same time, fuel progress... Might be a bit too far to say that though.

Wiping out the whole map (i.e. every single pixel of dirt, not like the 2/0 bomb) in a single shot/drop kind of goes beyond "overpowered".

Meh, DSMK2 will nerf it sooner or later, I mean a [6] on mistifying everything will be boring eventually, but a slight challenge will be fun!

In anycase, I've modified my MAC back into mass based shots. Pretty much pulps whoever decides to hug a shot now, behaves similar to the Cannon SS but on a lesser scale as well. Had some cases where it actually blasted an enemy dropship back into orbit ha ha...

And now they live in a Dyson sphere?! Did they built it?

The Decaying Soldat wrote: And now they live in a Dyson sphere?! Did they built it? This is me imagining <dreaming of> DSTech outside of gameplay. As overpowered as they are, they're able to convert matter into energy and back. As well, they're able to "generate" specific materials from matter. So they're pretty much quickly eating away planets and using the gained matter to construct the Dyson sphere. Imagine thousands of ants quickly building the structure. Its been finished a long time ago anyways. You could pretty much call it the DSTech homeworld, where the surface is swarmed with semi-sentiment Tyrants and countless other defenses. They haven't attained god mode in any case, and most of the robots residing there are individuals, various societies dot the structure, working under a mutual relationship. Though grouping is taken to the extreme, you'll get weird robots that way. "Civilian" robots don't follow the basis chassis and don't wear DSTech's combat grade armor, they also fall into three gender categories based on outward appearance and personality, male/female/it. Though the chassis differs from society to society, and its even in a few cases, a practically a biological body <nano machine cells!>. In whole its gotten to the point where you can't even figure out where the original DS-XXX even went or what it IS anymore for that matter. The ones you see running around the CC world are pretty much the expeditionary force types, maybe even running around for their own enjoyment... That's just me drooling on myself. I wish I see more detailed faction back stories in other mods, since I find them usually satisfying to read and ponder upon. What was that gun... One where you pull a trigger and a meteor falls into a city somewhere, or a whale appears in front of you... It was some really weird gun a sci-fi writer "made".

Re: [WIP] DSTech Corp (UPDATED: 5/22/09)
Hey look, it's my first ever textwall!
I think I know what you're talking about with the whalegun. If i'm correct, it was the Infinite Improbability Drive or "Heart of Gold". Wierd name, yes. It allowed the user to create certain levels of semi-contained improbability, which would make all sorts of crazy *hearts* happen. Example. Set the thing to the exact probability that the DSTech homeworld would spontaneously combust into Cocopuffs, and either that would happen, or something else equally with an equal amount of improbability would. It once turned two cruise missiles into a flowerpot and a sperm whale. In mid orbit. A very confused sperm whale then fell a few miles to the planet they were over, and exploded all over the ground. The Infinite Improbability Drive originally came into being in a rather strange way actually, good for a small laugh. The scientists of the space future had perfected the regular Finite Probability Drive, it worked principals that involved a cup of some sort of tea, the type escapes me. They couldn't figure out exactly how to make an Infinite version of the drive, until someone had the brilliantly retarded idea of calculating the probability of the thing appearing out of nowhere. They did, put into into the Finite drive, and boom, you have a fancy new toy. The scientist who thought of this was near immediatly lynched after they held his parade, becuase everyone else felt stupid for not thinking of it sooner. Go figure.
tl;dr: Well...I guess there really isn't one. Go read it.
I also happen to take great pleasure in those kind of backstories DSK2. You should totally make a DSTech robot with a top hat, to serve as one of their aristocrats.

You could do that thing Darlos did with some of his weapons and directly apply force to actors the projectiles collide with. That could end up wproducing some cool stuff.

Re: [WIP] DSTech Corp (UPDATED: 5/22/09)
Does this dyson sphere have external settlements. This reminds me of that planet I drew a few weeks ago... it was a dyson sphere, with settlements on both sides.
Blah blah blah, the brain ain't random, blah, science text wall. Anyways, mechanical devices are the theorized 7th animal kingdom, the ever-revivable kingdom....
Becareful about how high you set the force multiplier, I was able to rip a dropship clean of it's engines, and one of those engines ripped a different DropShip clean off it's engines.

I somehow can't see two jackhammers mating. The reasons mystify me beyond all reason.
