Is that a unique sprite for the M41? Yes, it is! More work from Tearagion.

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Imperium of Man Compilation [R17 Out!]
People asking about dreadnoughts, figured it would be time to update on my wee project with what little progress has been made.
Ignore the red, that was just left there and I don't care enough to get rid of it yet tbh. Also, alot of the weapons are still too big in the arm area, but that's lower on my list of priorities. The horribly brutalized droppods were just me seeing how the thing could actually be deployed.

Oh man, I can't wait to try that autocannon out. It sure looks painful.

The style of it compared to the existing actors and current CC stuff kinda bugs me, to be honest. That and I don't even want to think about the scripting involved.

I could draw you either some Dreadnaughts or some Terminators I could try copying your art style
and the dreadnaught isn't a vehicle its a robocop, so I dont think it'd be too hard to script, it's just a glorified turret with a fist weapon.

Vrinrock wrote: I could draw you either some Dreadnaughts or some Terminators I could try copying your art style 1) Terminators are in the works. 2) It's not my art. In fact, I estimate some five or six different spriters have all contributed to this compilation in some form or another. ------------------------ Vrinrock wrote: and the dreadnaught isn't a vehicle its a robocop, so I dont think it'd be too hard to script, it's just a glorified turret with a fist weapon. When it comes to coding/scripting, never assume that anything will be easy. Especially when you're not the one that has to code/script it.

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Imperium of Man Compilation [R17 Out!]
Guys I feel like right twit here, but how do I get this mod working 100% in steam CC? I downloaded the mod from the first page, and simply unzipped to my CC folder, like any other mod, yet I see no 40K actors or presets or anything.
Help a noob out, what am I missing here?

I have... done... absolutely no work on this mod all month. Uhm, oops? But yeah I have no ideas on what to do at the moment. Guess I just haven't been in a very Warhammer-y mood lately. Sorry guys.

I was bored as hell without my PC so I decided to make WH40K sprites. C&C?

Hot damn, Major, those are some sexy sprites. Could you kindly redo the ugly and horribly undersized Stormbolter?

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Imperium of Man Compilation [R17 Out!]
Mm, lookin' good. Still not convinced by the Longlas barrel, and the flamers are looking a bit flimsy/fragile (especially around the muzzle), but still some fine work. I like the foregrip-esque parts on the carbines especially. Hellguns look nice and distinct compared to common las weapons. Auto Shotgun stock looks a bit weird and undersized, Heavy Stubber stock looks kinda odd/unusual as well. Autoshotgun needs the ammo drum. Reminds me, I did this a while ago- Tried to make the Melta-Cutter more unique, so I flipped the grip upside down and attached it to the top, stripped off the pipe, added a foregrip, and tweaked the barrel design. Meltaweapon designs could be modified to have a fuel canister of some description. If memory serves they originally used an infinite/regenerating ammo system, so they didn't need fuel canisters at the time.

Bolters! Bolters everywhere! Also a lascannon. I'll fix the longlas and stocks 'n' stuffs, God this shotgun is beginning to piss me off. It's been such a bloody pain to sprite and I still hate the way it looks. The flared muzzle on the melta cutter makes sense. Don't meltas have a sorta side mounted fuel canister? I seem to remember my marines having one like that.

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Imperium of Man Compilation [R17 Out!]
I think they did use side-mounted fuel canisters, yes. Take in mind that lore takes something of a backseat to portrayal ingame, so you could have a canister like the flamethrower ones or something if it looks better. I also think those bolters look a bit out of scale too - consider the autocannon is firing what are probably... I don't know, 30~40mm rounds, yet the drum on that is the same size as the Storm Bolter and Heavy Bolter drums you made? Part of the reason I asked for the las weapons to be resprited back for R15 was that they were just too damn big compared to Guardsmen. A side-by-side comparison of all the weapons would be pretty interesting actually. Lascannon looks good though. Also, for the Autoshotgun - I really like the front end of it, if it's any consolation.

I'll see what I can do about the bolters. They are kinda the same size as the current in game ones. The heavy bolter and stormbolter mags hold a lot more rounds than the autocannon mag though. I'm unsure about the sizing, wanna give me a mockup to work with?
