It's remarkably easy when you stop tripping over the walls of wizard language. Here's the first part, I bolded (and enlarged) the MDC related parts. I used "MXMDC" because I assume something will go wrong if I use a shorter/longer name. I guess this part tells the game what factions are available and what .rte files they use.

Next is the part where you list the weapons, actors, and craft the faction can buy. I just copy-pasted the Coalition selection to the bottom of that list then swapped the Coalition's stuff with MDC's.

I only chose my favorite weapons, one actor and one ship. You could add literally everything available in theory but I didn't have enough self-motivation to pick through the whole list of MDC gear and put it in. You could add the gunships I think, but the only way you would get the soldiers is if the dropship explodes.
This is the last part and the easiest, requiring literally no labor aside from changing 5 letters.

This tells the game what team buys what faction. Red, Green and Yellow are the factions they come packaged with while Yellow is MDC and Neutral are the RETARDS.
Anyway, I hope this poorly-written and formatted like ♥♥♥♥ guide to adding MDC has helped you perhaps get your bearings on adding your own factions. Here's my entire "factions" text file, no forum code:

If you mean having them as a faction, then I don't. If you mean when YOU try to buy them, I never buy Browncoats. It happens with all units, items, craft, there's no escape from it.

Hi! I really like this mod, it's so fun to see the chaos...
But I have a problem. I am trying to get the Dark Storm faction as a option to spawn.
I followed the post a few posts up, and it is not working.

Sorry for the bump again , but I really want to know if this mod works for B27, and if not, is anyone planning in updating it? I ain't testing it because I don't want to mess up CC.
