B24 Skirmish mod: 100,000 oz, no gameover, no CPU digging
Hi guys! Just got this game through the Humble Bundle and I love it! However, after going through your mods, I noticed there's few B24 mods. Worse yet, no info on how to edit the funds for Skirmish in B24. So! I have no Lua programming knowledge, but I do know how to juryrig (as you'll notice if you peruse this lua script, jegus!) This mod is just stuff I wanted to change for myself. Thought I'd share though, maybe it'll be of use to you!
What this (psuedo) mod does:
* On every difficulty, gives you 100,000 quid to work with * If your brain eats it, an empty dropship will be assigned as a 'brain' and descend and hover. The CPU will switch objective and actively attack this new target. Once destroyed, a new one will take it's place, making the game essentially unending. * The CPU team gets no digging tool. Instead they get a secondary weapon (I hated them digging in everything, haha) * On the hardest difficulty, the CPU spawns 10 times faster (other difficulties are as is)
How to use: * Find Cortex Command\Base.rte\Scenes\Scripts\SkirmishDefense.lua, and rename to something else so it's there if you want to return Skirmish mode to normal. * Place the .lua script (which is in the .zip file you can get at the bottom of this post) in that same directory, "Cortex Command\Base.rte\Scenes\Scripts" * Remember, hardest difficulty will be 10x the spawn rate. Use the second hardest difficulty if that's not something you'd like. * Enjoy!

Not really, since it's a Base.rte mod.

I realized something like that would be pretty beneficial. Hrm... I honestly have no clue how to set up such a thing I'm afraid! But thanks for letting me know! edit: whoops, glad it's not a requirement at least, aha. Though, it still stands, it would help a lot. Don't want to go the whole nine yards though unless it's a substantial mod, like, y'know, adding a kill counter or something. Hm...

Just copypaste the activity code from base activities ini to a new index.ini, tab right once and slap on DataModule at the beginning. Also change the path.

So its an awesome idea and a cool mod, however it probably would have been a better idea to just name it Skirmish2 or something that way you dont have to edit gamefiles in order to change it from regular skirmish to this. My friend an i regularly play against each other so i wouldnt be bothered installing this mod simply because i dont want to have to edit my game files everytime we want to play against each other.

Seems to be working fine.

I am sorry for the bump, but I would REALLY like this mod restored!

I feel really stupid now... I didn't remember which mod this was. I meant to post in the B24 spectator mode thread, but I forgot the title, and thought this was that mod. Although this mod works just fine.
