First off this isnt really a mod as it ia just a resprited vanilla weapon with Loads of bullets Huge penetration and A minus price

Mod = modification, which is what you just listed.

Yeah. The only real criticism that you can make here is that this mod is more suited for the minor mod dump, and even that's not really legitimate because the minor mod dump is a matter of personal preference anyway.

And hittox, nice first mod, I guess. The sprite actually looks like a deagle, which isn't a bad start at all, and suits the scale of CC relatively well.

It doesn't matter if it is in either forum.

The thing is, it's quite commonly posted everywhere that you should NOT release your first mod unless it's really good. Either A ) the OP hasn't read any threads about said topic, or B ) doesn't care. I really don't intend to sound like an ass (which I probably am anyway), but really, you should work on your modding ability first.

That said it is nice that he did post screenshots, added his own sprite, and figured everything out on his own. You know how annoying it is when people don't search?

Agreed. I don't think anyone but wooden was actually criticizing anyway, and he wasn't even really criticizing very heavily. We were just acknowledging that it is a pretty standard first mod.

However, it is quite nice that hittox posted properly. I agree that the mod posts that don't follow rules are obnoxious.

Actually, this is going quite well.
There were times where 10 page flamewars were sparked by mods such this one.

For a moment there, I was afraid my post was gonna start a flamewar. I suppose it could've been interpreted way differently than what I meant to say.

Anywho, I wasn't REALLY serious. It's nice to see critique without vitriol! I wouldn't expect anything ingenious or amazing for a first mod.

Abdul was special in the way that his first mod was basically balls awesome.

Honestly I think people should post their first mod. Whenever I'm proud of something, I always feel like I want to share it.

It's actually been so long since someone's released one of these that I actually had some fun with it for a while.

Most people start with something like this, yes, but they don't share in a mod releases thread because they know it's not quite to the level of mod that really benefits a lot from sharing in such a way for anyone. You won't get much meaningful feedback, people will just tell you what you know, (it's overpowered, not really unique, too simple in concept, etc) and most people will have already seen, more or less, something just like it, so they won't enjoy it a whole lot either.

For "this is my first mod ever", excellent work. You've assembled a .rte, altered the function, graphics, and characteristics of some content successfully, and uploaded it to the forum with images, job well done, hats off to you.
For a released mod, egh, not so commendable. It's a super simple overpowered terrain raping money cheat. It does sound neat, though, and the sprite is moderately good, so there's that.
