SMC Entry: Blender
So this is something I dumped into minor mods days and days ago, and I like it enough that I'm gonna go ahead and post it, and then I think I might do some more stuff with it, possibly. So, y'know, consider it on hold for now, but I *may* improve upon it later.

Can this thing mine?Instead of asking, I'm gonna find out myself. Understandably, it cannot.

Re: SMC Entry: Blender
Like most your mods I think this is a swell technical exercise but the presentation lacks.

Yey again here comes Contrary with some kind words. Now that i've seen the gif image i do like it very much reminds me of i guest derezzing an object with large pixels around it.

Re: SMC Entry: Blender
@Sims: I meant my post earnestly and positively.
I'm just saying we have no context for this. Visually, it's good as well, it's just that we don't have a feeling of history or purpose. It's just like L & P's teleporting guy. Grif made up that code ages ago, but no one was really interested. L&P release it with a great sprite and more importantly the implication of grandeur and lore, and it gets downloaded like hotcakes. I men you're amazing, Grif, but I think your mods lack soul. Like the constructor is probably the most amazing thing we've ever seen. It functions well, the effects are good, yet no one ever talks about it or shows it off in gifs.
edit: this wont reach three pages

Re: SMC Entry: Blender
man and I even spent extra time on this one, just on the aesthetic
I don't disagree with what you're saying, contrary, because it's actually pretty gorramn truthful, but that's sort of the issue with everything I make
either A: it's something I'm too lazy to finish with any kind of actual presentation, so I just ♥♥♥♥ it out onto the forum in a mostly-functional tech-demo state, or B: I polish it just enough that it looks like an ordinary mod, but it happens to also do something that (at least, in my opinion) is pretty cool
unfortunately this isn't something I'm really motivated to correct. ♥♥♥♥, homey, I don't even really play CC anymore, let alone mod it.

Re: SMC Entry: Blender
The effect it has while eating terrain is incredible. Everything in the air, however, looks horrible. If you could find a way to make what is in the air invisible and leave everything else alone, you'd have something great here.
