Because there is something in your personal space that is moving and shouldn't be.

The favourite of tank drivers, auxilaries, engineers and special operatives alike, the SZV36 is a lot of stopping power for a little weight and size; perfect for close combat, cramped spaces, surprising people that would want to surprise you and generally having firepower while staying mobile.
With an almost full length barrel, and firing high-velocity, hardened, moulded rounds, the Rifle punctures and perforates the body armour your old personal defence pistol or carbine wouldn't scratch. Fully automatic and loaded with rounds that can be almost half the size due to their velocity and shaping, the Self Defence Rifle doesn't just penetrate the armour you used to have trouble with; it shreds them. A sleek form designed with the user in mind means that the average body can unload, reload, lock and load another high-capacity 40 round box magazine in one and a half seconds flat.
Now with other sub machine guns or personal defence weapons, not only would you be struggling to pierce body armour at any range, but you'd be struggling to get an accurate shot off no matter what you tried. With intelligent burst fire, your groupings can be anything up to twice as, or even more, accurate than other similar roled weapons.
Use your brain and this weapon can do anything you want. While super-light, hyper velocity rounds mean that speed loss and bullet deformation are major problems beyond optimal ranges, a smart soldier knows not to get into a situation where that's needed. While a gun that weighs less than the average toddler fully loaded means terrible groupings in sustained fire, a smart soldier doesn't let a target live long enough to warrant it.

Modification Policy:
If you want to release a modified version or use elements from it, go ahead and release; I'm fine with it as long as there's credit somewhere or other. Though there isn't much in this mod that would actually require credit.

Sprite could need some more contrast, other than that, it's a nice gun.
Though, you should really remove the part where it sprays bullets in 90 degrees from the barrel, it's simply not how guns work :P.

The spraying is limited to something like a 60 degree cone, and only when you're flying around. It makes as much sense as shakerange not making the gun move but instead making the bullets fly at 30 degrees off to the side of where you point it. When it's doing that just pretend it is shaking around like a thousand squirrels in control of a tiny helicopter.

What's the point of a PDW if you can't be accurate while moving around?

This one is more geared towards stopping advances and ambushes than anything. Standing still and sharpaiming allows you to spray at a man-shaped target at a decent range and have almost every shot hit. It's ideal for clearing up enclosed spaces, not so much on-the-move gunning. Though if you burst fire it should retain a decent level of accuracy. Either way, I'll retweak it and make sure you can at least burst whilst flying and actually hit what you're aiming at. I think I'll be redoing the recoil from their current functions to more fun ones.
