Post subject:  Possible post filter feature?

I often find myself in threads where all the posters are simply commenting on the OP and asking for more, etc.
In amongst these posts, OP will often post some more images and information, which I can only find by going through every page of the thread.
I think a post filter feature should be employed so that people don't have to scroll through posts that they don't need to read, and can find a select few posted by a specified forum member.

I generally use search or read through the thread. If you use the search correctly, you can pretty much almost do this anyway.

You could use Ctrl+F and search for the posters name.

This only works for the page you are on, and even then it will still search for the name if it is written in a post.

Ctrl+F works for the name of the poster, too.
This is a feature that probably isn't going to happen, considering that we aren't even able to set up things like badges and signatures.

Your search-fu is lacking, padawan.

search.php?keywords=Possible+post+filter+feature%3F&terms=all&author=zness&fid%5B%5D=48&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

Key elements: restrict author, use the exact topic title.

Thanks Grif, that works very well. Perhaps you can add it to the new forum user guide, if such a thing exists
