However, Data mightn't actually be needing content devs. If he isn't asking for extra content then extra content devs are unnecessary.

I don't think I'd want CC48 to be a dev. Seems like it would artificially restrain him, whereas modding does not.
Also, this petition is fairly useless, it isn't like Data reads the forums more than once a month.

He said he'd mail it. Also, content devs don't really have very much restriction. For example, if I remember correctly, both the Browncoats and the Ronin were done completely autonomously by content devs unprompted or commissioned.

I'm honestly not sure what good this will do. Maybe I'm just skeptical, but I get the feeling Data's not going to appoint a dev just because a few people (probably more than a few) want him to be one. Regardless, I'm all for CC48 being a dev if he gets the chance. Also, if you're actually going to send him a physical letter, maybe put some stuff in there about how he should appoint someone to admin, so this site can get some work done on it.

Why EMail it instead of just leaving it here in the thread?

And why do petitions? Petitions don't exactly work so well. You'd have as much luck with a facebook group.

Good luck to your cause though!

CC48's mods work wonderfully as mods, but most wouldn't fit into the CC universe as vanilla content. Like Petethegoat said, I think it would just restrain him.

And think of this- maybe CC48 doesn't want to be a content dev?

Yeah i think I'll stick to him being the kind of add-ons and destroying CC's purpose of the game by warping it so you have a much better chance of winning.

I think that he could be great as a dev, as long as it wouldn't interfere with his modding.

internet petitions - guaranteed to work

considering that the currently most active content devs (I possess information you don't) are TLB and numgun, who are, respectively, probably the most prolific lua and .ini coders on the forum, I don't really see that a new content developer is needed.

Well apparently Data responded to CaveCricket's comment in the Dev Log, so this probably won't be necessary.
