So i though i'll do this. This will be a tutorial for mIRC.
First go here http://www.mirc.com/get.html download mIRC and install it.
When you turn it on. Close all windows that pop up.
Go here, and type in your name (doesn't have to be real) and your email (same. Doesn't have to be real)
Next go here, click add
Put this here and click "Add"
You should have something like this
Now go here, and check this
and
In "options" go to "perform" and put this here

/msg nickserv identify yourpasswordhere
You can ghost a nick that you registered. Its usefull if your internet crashed and you want to "kill" the ghosted nick. Typr in this
/msg nickserv ghost thenickyouwantoghost yourpass
Grouping
If you use multiple nicks, you can group them. Its way faster than registering each nick. to do this type in
/msg nickserv group yourmainnick yourpass
