Somebody made a topic, a mod didn't like the topic and deleted it. Fair enough, except he didn't tell the original poster why he deleted it.

What's the point in deleting a topic if the OP doesn't know what they did wrong with it in the first place? For that matter, why did he delete the topic instead of just locking it?

Of course, I don't even know which mod did this because the forums won't tell me, so I can't even complain to the guy directly, hence the existance of this topic.

What was this topic and who was the poster? How do you know the poster wasn't warned?

The topic was the alternate languages topic (as TD noticed) and the poster was Shard.

And he sent me a PM asking me if someone deleted it without telling him.

All right, fair enough. I'll leave a note in the Moderator Chat that we should let people know before we delete their topics.

Although in this case it's pretty obvious why.

There's a bit in the rules about stuff that's not in the rules. Essentially everything is in the rules if the mod says so.

That defeats the purpose of the rules. If you can suddenly decide 'HEY MAYBE I SHOULD GO AHEAD AND DELETE THIS TOPIC AND BAN THE POSTER WITHOUT ANY LEGITIMATE REASON!' Then the rules have lost a point.

Stop being a bitter foot. They don't have to explain themselves to you and if you can't figure it out, PM someone and ask why or who made the ban. Do not ♥♥♥♥♥ in otherwise productive topics.

And I already agreed to put up a note on this in the Moderator Chat, so why exactly do you feel the need to complain about it more?

Forums are not democracies. You are not paying for the privilege of posting here, you are not owed anything by ANYONE on this forum. You can (and will be, if you continue) be banned in the blink of an eye if the forum disagrees with you. It's a benevolent dictatorship, bro, not a parliamentary democracy. Mod's word is law, and disputes seldom work out well.
