I've noticed that in the 'released mods' section. Some of the older ones, the download links seem to have expired? Leaving me unable to download anything that's not recent. Anyone know why?

On April 1st, some jackass hacked into DataRealms and deleted as many things possible, though some of the mods in the back weren't deleted.

Now all the exsisting mods are either, Reuploaded, deleted, or still there.
Anything that had a link to FileFront, media fire, and all of the such, can still be downloaded, like DarkStorm Military Technologies and DSTech.

.. and i type really slow..had a full post too, then shard beat me

With the posts being deleted, the attachments were also. but when we restored the backup, it was just a database backup. So alot of attachments (around 1 gig) were lost.

I think there needs to be a message that's sent to every new user saying

"Due to an "April Fools" hack in, most of the existing mods on the forum have been deleted. The creator will either Reupload it, or another user will upload themselves."

I don't, if people decide not to read the topics that already exist in EVERY DAMN FORUM then it's their own fault.

At this point the rules should probably be edited to say: "Anyone who asks/starts a topic about the first of April incident will be warned." I'm saying this because people keep making topics about this, and it get's really annoying after awhile.

Yes but the reason they start a thread is because they don't know about the April incident and therfore have no idea that they're asking about it. I think we just put in something about the search button but otherwise be helpful and tell them. Crazy idea yeah? Being accommodating and just telling them.

And they must also look around and find information, instead of saying "Were b al te MOOOODDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSS!!!1111one".
There are topics asking that ALL OVER THE PLACE.

OH MAN SOMETHING HAPPENED IN THE FORUM, I WONDER WHERE I COULD FIND OUT ABOUT FORUM HAPPENINGS

OH HEY, A FORUM CLEVERLY TITLED FORUM NEWS, I WONDER IF ANYTHING RELATING TO NEW EVENTS COULD POSSIBLY BE IN THERE

OH WHY LOOK A STICKIED TOPIC EXPLAINING THIS APRIL FIRST INCIDENT

Oh man is it that hard for people to be expected to find their own ♥♥♥♥ information? I see no need to hold anyone's ♥♥♥♥ hand, if they actually need/want to find out they'd be perfectly capable of doing so. We should encourage people not to read; besides which the fact that people can't read the forum news heading means that they're unlikely to read any global announcement or sticky in any other forum.

Thus, people are stupid, and there's not ♥♥♥♥ you can do about it.

Since when was it a stickied topic? Actually, that's probably a good idea, stickying the topic...

There, that better? It's global.
As much as people are stupid, putting up more countermeasures against said stupidity is a good idea. Even if this topic only stops 5 people from posting another "OMGWTFBBQ MODSGONE?!" topic, it's another 5 "OMG"... You get the idea.
And please, can we NOT turn every single issue ever discussed on the forums into a flame war? Please?
