What are these things, and what are they doing on the site? We had the Google bot, next the Yahoo bot, then the MSN bot, and now, the Alexa bot. What are they and what purpose do they serve? |

I think if you searched the forum you would find what they are. The forum type we use "phpbb" notices IP connects from different servers. And has a premade set of scaning bots like google and other things. These bots are not bad, mostly they are just scaning posts for keywords so more people can find this site. |

Spider and bots are the same thing. Crawler too. PURPLE NAME = BOT. |
