Ok, CC was working fine awhile ago, then I started downloading mods. It worked just as fine for several days, until just a few minutes ago after installing the tesla cannon and the assault ship mods I booted up CC to test them out and it displayed this message: _____________________________________________________________________ RTE aborted (x_x) l x l ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Abortion in file ./system/reader.cpp, because: referring to an instance ('Grass duel') to copy from that hasnt been defined! in Gaintcannon.rte/Scene.ini at line 2! The last screen has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp' _____________________________________________________________________ I'd upload a screenshot, but I dont know how to make one, or upload it. AND yes, I DID uninstall and re-install CC 3 times already, but for some reason now whenever I re-install it it re-installs all the mods I put in as well! Could someone help me fix this please? How am I supposed to play CC now? |

... Windows Explorer? Kay, let's try again here. Go to "My Computer" in Windows. Open your primary hard disk drive. (I'll assume it's C: for this guide). Click on Program Files, then Data Realms, Cortex Command. If at any point along the way, Windows pops up saying something about "important system files or folders" click yes to continue. In the /Cortex Command/ folder, in Windows Explorer, right click, create new, follow original guide. |

Grif, I don't know how you manage to be so polite. I deal with these people (the people that know nothing of computers) all day, and they are so annoying to me. (No offense, not directed at you Toast.) How do you remain so calm? |

It's not that hard. Just think of it from their point of view. |

The last screen has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp' _____________________________________________________________________ HMMM... LETS SEE, there is a problem with a mod that was built for a previous verion of cortex command. something you don't need to know why is this it was made for an old verion of cortex command and is trying to copy something that has been renamed in newer versions (instance= the name of something) the old name was: 'Grass duel' remove Gaintcannon.rte and it will work also this error is at line 2 in the script (a piece of writing that runs a game) so it aborted the game why is this hard to understand?, seriously I'm not being mean, could you honestly please tell me why you couldn't understand this, AM I TOO BRAINY. seriously I am not being sarcastic or nasty in anyway, it will help me understand how people can not take in information. |
